I can't say enough good things about Eye Q Optometrist on Weaver Street. I called in a bit of a panic needing to be seen and they squeezed me in for a last minute appointment without any hassle. Dr. Zlatin was fantastic, took the time to really listen to what was going on, explained everything clearly, and made me feel completely taken care of. You can tell this doctor and staff genuinely care about patients. The entire staff deserves a shout out too. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make the whole visit smooth and stress free. It's rare to find a place where every single person you interact with is this friendly and helpful. And the glasses selection is unreal. They have by far the best frames and sunglasses I've come across, with tons of styles to choose from whether you want something classic or a little more bold. I had a hard time picking just one pair. If you're looking for an eye doctor who actually goes above and beyond, do yourself a favor and come here. Huge thank you to Dr. Zlatin and the whole team. I'll definitely be back.

I am giving two stars primarily because of the terrible customer service from Stacey. The rest of the staff at EyeQ in Scarsdale were genuinely nice, welcoming, and tried their best to help me out. *** the owners response doesn’t address the specific concerns I raised. This review is about an employee’s rude and unprofessional communication who (1) accused customers of carelessness when glasses broke (2) contradicting statements— taking away my broken frame so that it can be FIXED when promised me a replacement (why do you need my broken frame if replacement is coming?) and (3) failing to disclose the terms of loaner agreement beforehand*** A year ago, I purchased a high-end Mytika frame from them. After a year of normal wear and tear, the frame unfortunately tarnished. Because I wear glasses heavily, I wanted to see if the frame could be replaced rather than getting a brand-new pair through my insurance. A lovely staff member helped me—and even though I was just 5 days past my 1-year warranty, she graciously requested a replacement frame from Mytika on my behalf. I truly appreciated that effort. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended. When I called to check on the status of the frame, someone just hung up the phone on me. After multiple follow-up emails, I was told the replacement would take a month to arrive, so I requested a loaner pair (and was ready to pay for it). That is when Stacey interfered and told me that customers are just "careless," which is why glasses break, essentially accusing customers of mishandling frames. Conflicting Statements: Her story kept changing. First, she claimed EyeQ had to absorb the cost of the replacement because I was 5 days past warranty. When I visited the store, she asked for my old frame because Mytika would "fix it." Then she changed her story a third time, claiming Mytika was sending a replacement. Lack of Transparency & Hidden Policies: Over the phone, she quoted a $50 fee for the loaner without mentioning any conditions. When I arrived to pick it up, she presented an aggressive agreement stating that if there was even a single scratch, I would be charged the full cost of the glasses. By that point, I had already found a backup pair and declined the loaner. However, Stacey insisted I still had to pay the $50 fee even though I wasn't taking the glasses. Over $50 and a severe lack of basic transparency and professionalism, EyeQ lost a loyal customer. If they had simply been nicer and suggested I purchase a new pair instead of putting me through all this drama, I would have happily done so.

Had the pleasure of going to EyeQ today and had a very pleasurable experience! Their new store is just beautiful and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. My exam with Dr Zlatin was thorough and comprehensive and I left with a beautiful pair of new frames. Thank you Stacy for helping me choose a great new set of glasses. Highly recommend

Eye Q is in a completely different league from most optical shops. Their exams are truly state-of-the-art — thorough, modern, and never rushed. You feel like you’re getting real clinical attention, not just pushed through a machine. What really stands out, though, is the follow-up and service when it comes time to choose and order glasses. The staff a truly knows what they’re doing and takes the time to make sure everything is right, from fit to function to style. Their frame selection is always stylish, current, and curated, not the same mass-market stuff you see everywhere else. And the lenses are top-tier. The quality is noticeably better than what you get from big retailers like Warby Parker: sharper optics, better coatings, and longer-lasting performance. Eye Q combines medical precision with great taste and real service.

I have gone to Eye-Q for several years for both eye exams and stylish frames and lenses. The care and continuity for high quality and valuable. This was my first visit to their new space on Weaver since the moved from the more cramped location in Five Corners. The new space is great and the team remains, as always, supportive and skillful.
