Eyecare Specialties - Rockwall

Loved TSO—very disappointed with EyeCare Specialties that bought them out. They gave me 2 days of “samples” in a ziplock bag instead of a normal 7–14 day sample pack. The girl at the front desk was incredibly rude about the process and the new rule. I had requested samples because when I called for a new order of contacts they wanted to charge me $287 for a 90 day supply!!! I was already paying a lot with TSO at $190—but the new company increasing the price by $100 for a 90 day supply is INSANE! I already have an appointment at a different clinic for my next eye exam and will no longer be using this business or referring any patients to them.

Really great doctor that was very thorough, and explained everything eye related in perfect detail. However, after we got home I realized I had a $41 charge (x2) for a screening photo of my eye, and this is normally asked about and consented to before the exam. In fact, it’s illegal to charge a customer like this after the appointment without explanation. I was never given an option to opt out of this, and I definitely would have especially because my son had an appointment at a different location less than 6months ago. The pricing breakdown at checkout was almost purposely very confusing, and their glasses/contacts cost are double/triple what you would pay at most other places. Doctor was great though!

My eye was hurt at work and this office was able to get me in for a same-day check. Dr. Darjee is professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring. I appreciated how clearly he and the technicians explained the exam every step of the way.

They will force you to buy their over priced glasses. They don’t answer the phone when I called to request are records and go somewhere that will give a prescription we can actually order glasses with. We never had these huge customer services issues when they were TSO. Now we have to start all over when we used our insurance benefits up with them. BEWARE!

I was a walk-in customer with a special request to have my lenses checked for accurate measurements and both Laura and Cara (sp?) were super kind to help me make a better educated decision going forward. Their customer service was world class and worthy of recognition.
