Had a great first experience with EyeCenter Optometric in Gold River. It was a breeze booking my appointment online and was provided a large selection of dates and times to choose from. All of the office staff I dealt with were friendly and extremely accommodating. Dr. Johnson was professional, performed a comprehensive exam, and thoroughly addressed all of my concerns. No complaints whatsoever and will definitely go back again.

The staff was very polite, caring, and personable. I felt like a person, not just an appointment. Think I’m going to enjoy going back for my eye care needs.
Let’s start from the beginning. The doctor was polite, classy, and professional. Unfortunately the rest of the experience was negative. After the exam I was placed with one of the optometrists, a gentleman who seamed competent. Red flag number one was unfortunately in the middle of our meeting to choose my frames we were rudely interrupted and I was placed with someone new. Nothing worse. I found the frames I wanted and ordered them. Red flag number two I paid for them in full. Two weeks later on the expected completion date I was told something went wrong and the glasses had to be replaced due to a mistake in the lens coating. I was told the second set would be expedited because of the problem . That didn’t happen. 12 days later finally I called them for the 4th time and found out the glasses were finally in. I drove to the office happy to put it all behind me and move on. I walked in to the office to have the frames fitted to find the wrong frames and lenses were ordered. The second set was a bust. I’ve been told the third set is going to be expedited again. To me that means the time frame would be less than the last. Thinking that about the first expedited pair of glasses didn’t work out for me. I will be surprised if the third set is delivered any differently than the prior expedited pair of glasses. Lesson learned don’t pay 100 percent up front from that day forward you are owned and no longer in control. Customer service can keep any customer from posting anything negative. A call even once from the office would have gone a long way towards making this situation nothing at all. Instead it was me calling them. Did I mention I couldn’t see while I waited. The first thing I did when I got home is tell my wife to cancel her appointment with this office before she goes through the same problems. If anything at all is done to make up for how things went I will certainly be placing another post to let everyone know I was taken care of and satisfied. (Update April 8th) I got a notification and a call today to tell me my glasses were in again and that lasted about five minutes. I then received a call saying they weren't in. I honestly believe they were ordered wrong again and they were embarrassed to tell me. Why else would I get a notification and a call saying they were ready. I would think if someone sent out a notification and a call they had to be looking at a set of glasses. Its either a big misunderstanding or this is a yet another set glasses that have to be ordered.
Staffs were very friendly and patient to guid me through the entire eye exam procedures. Optometrist clearly described the health conditions of my eyes and explained to me when I had a question on medical terms. Great service afterall and I will be back for my annual eye exam.
Had a fabulous experience today... From the convenient location to the staff... I met with Smantha, (Front desk) Then Maya (assistant) Dr. Lee and then Corina the Optician... Everyone was so kind and caring and professional. Each one had a special role in my eye dr appt. They worked individually and together very cohesively. I would highly reccommed the Gold River branch of EYE center Optometric!!! Kudos to an All Star team!!!
