I came to Eyeland Optical hoping to invest in a quality pair of glasses after having migraines and difficulty seeing at night with my previous prescription. I expressed these concerns but I was disappointed with the level of care and attention they provided. When ordering my glasses, no measurements were taken to ensure they were properly fitted. My pupillary distance or optical height were not measured, and there was no assessment of the arm length, nose bridge, or overall frame fit. I also was not asked any questions about the lenses I wanted. I was given a price and had to ask what lenses were being ordered. When my first pair arrived, something was off. I returned them and ordered another pair, paying another $200, but experienced the same issues. When I picked them up and tried them on, they slid down my nose, and I was told they could not be adjusted. I now have to reposition them constantly to see properly through the optical area of the lenses. Since I used my insurance benefits, I’m stuck with glasses I am not comfortable wearing. I’m disappointed that something as important and expensive as corrective eyewear was handled with so little attention to proper measurements, fit, and communication. I expected a professional optical practice to ensure my glasses were properly fitted.

Horrible service. Came in at 2:30, they close at 3. The lady said I won’t be able to buy anything today, the CC machine is down for the day. I gave her my ID, and she proceeded to ask me what my address was. She couldn’t be bothered to look at my ID and type it in. As she’s typing, the lady next to her starts blowing her nose and eating macaroni and cheese. I then asked if I could get some help/advice on glasses that would fit my face. There were 3 or 4 other ladies there with nobody else in the store. The person at the counter said sure, somebody can certainly help you. After 5 minutes there, nobody came over and instead they were chatting about the weekend starting. Once I got my ID back, I took it and walked out the door. They obviously are paid very well because NONE of them cared to make a sale. NO PROBLEM! I’ll take my business elsewhere to someone who at least acts hungry, and not for Mac and cheese. Lousy service, 1 star
1st set of flexible frames broke in half while cleaning them. 60 day warrranty, so I'm out $130 for new fames, 4 months later, second set same exact thing, poor product, poor recommendations for flexible frames and poor warranty! Stay away as they do not stand behind their product and I was told when I replaced the 1st ones that they are known to break.....so why are you still selling them an recommending the to people who request a durable flexible frame. Going to back to Flexon frames as my previosu set of frames were 8 years old. ..because of this, now I'm down to 1 pair of glasses with no backup.
I hate leaving bad reviews for businesses, but I wanna make it clear. I’m not a customer that attended there, but someone that called in as myself to have some information and the lady that picked up the phone she came off as very dismissive which I consider that rude. Whoever she is, she needs to learn how to address potential clients Because it only hurts the business and not the person.
I just had an appointment at Eyeland in Williamsport, Lycoming Creek Road. I love the staff , they are very patient and so helpful. They work as a team and I love seeing that in a business environment. 😊
