I have been under the care at this office for years. Dr. Yoder is absolutely amazing. The eye care is impeccable and I still recommend this office because of that. However, I take issue with a bad policy. I had an appointment set for Monday afternoon. I’ve been experiencing awful headaches, have kidney issues going on as well. Since my vision is getting blurry, I made an appointment to address the floaters and blurred vision and rule out vision being the reason for the headaches. Three hours before my appointment I was notified that my brother had an accident and was rushed to the Emergency room. I went to the hospital to find he was rushed into surgery. I was faced with a decision because if I stayed I would miss my appointment and if I left I would miss being with my brother to see if he was going to be alright, and be here when he came out of emergency surgery. I called the eye care clinic to reschedule my appointment and I was told since there wasn’t a 24 hour notice...I couldn’t be rescheduled for anything less than a year. I told her this was an emergency and she said it was policy. She offered to reduce it to a six month wait but this was an emergency! It is a bad policy if I have to choose between being with family in an emergency and keeping an eye appointment. With the vision and health issues I have going on, I cannot wait and I will have to go to a new doctor 😕. This is unfair. Lisa Cruz-Hensley
