I honestly knew nothing about this business prior to making an appointment, so I was a bit nervous as I knew I needed a thorough eye exam and new glasses, and was dreading the cost and the hassle. Thankfully EVERYONE at Family Eye Care was helpful, patient, thorough and not too pushy lol. A specific recommendation was made in terms of glasses. Though I appreciated the suggestion I did not feel it was the right fit for me, and they accommodated my request, at no additional cost. Every time I have been there, I have been told "Don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything" and they mean that. Any question or concern has been immediately addressed, and it has been super easy to make appointments. I truly appreciate their friendly and professional business, and will be using them for my eye care needs in the future!

I have been a patient of Family Eye Care for several months. The staff there is very cheerful and supportive about answering all of my questions. After a series of initial tests Dr. Goodman reviews them with me and explains them in layman's terms. Nothing is ever rushed and he makes an extra effort to explain current as well as follow-up procedures. My appointments are always a very pleasant experience.

The office runs seamlessly, the staff is genuinely kind and attentive, and there’s a clear sense that everyone works together with purpose. The space itself is beautifully maintained, with thoughtful décor and greenery that make it feel calm and inviting rather than clinical. Whether it’s a routine annual exam or more in-depth testing when something may be off, I’ve always felt supported and well cared for. Currently, we’re doing additional testing to establish a baseline due to some health concerns, and I feel completely confident in the approach being taken. Dr. Steven Goodman, OD is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough—he takes the time to explain everything in a way that makes you feel informed and at ease. That level of trust is invaluable. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Dr. Goodman is a Board Certified Optometrist. He is knowledgeable and has the patience to explain what is going on with your eyes. The office is up to date with technology and a very large selection of glasses to choose from.

I want to share my experience because I feel like its important for people reading reviews to make an informed decision when coming here. To make a long story short there was confusion about a rebate for my contacts and I was upset about it. I went to the office to return the unopened boxes but Tori spoke to the Dr. and he said he "will take care of my patients". They honored the rebate and to me that's important because I feel like I can trust them. I'm happy to be a patient here and Dr. Goodman is very thorough. Will be recommending my mom to be a new patient.

The entire team at Family Eye Care in Medford NY is incredible! The optometrist, Dr Goodman, provided my wife & I very thorough eye exams, patiently explaining every step & clearly answering all our questions & concerns. The staff always goes above & beyond, demonstrating true dedication when they've squeezed us in during emergencies-both stressful situations made so much easier by their kindness & efficiency. The are knowledgeable, friendly & create a professional yet warm atmosphere. We feel heard, valued & well cared for.
