I had a fantastic annual vision exam with Dr. Phu and her team!! From intake to checkout, Wendy, Gloria, Lupa, and Karla were efficient and very resourceful with my questions and concerns. Wendy and Lupa were very welcoming and accommodating when I mistakenly misscheduled my appointment, and Karla went above and beyond to secure the best pricing for my contacts and glasses. Gloria patiently walked me through my glasses lens replacement options and helped me pick an option that worked best for my lifestyle. Dr. Phu was very detailed with my exam and made sure all of my questions were answered. I’m so happy to have found such a great team to trust with my care!

I went here for my annual exam and the exam itself was fine. All the staff were very friendly. However, make sure that they bill your insurance correctly. They told me that I was not eligible for medically necessary contacts, even though I had been in previous years and neither my insurance nor prescription had changed. I told them this and they still insisted I wasn't eligible and quoted me $800 for a year's worth of contacts. I spoke to my previous eye doctor's office and we figured out that this clinic was likely using my contact rx to determine eligibility, instead of my spectacle rx like they should've been. I called Far West Optical and asked them to check with my insurance, and they then confirmed that yes, I am eligible for medically necessary contact coverage. If I didn't know any better, I would've spent a significant amount on contacts that should've cost me nothing. I also had to request a refund for my contact lens exam, as they made me pay for it initially even though it was also covered by my insurance. It all ended up being fine and I got my contacts, but it was a frustrating experience.

Had a few hiccups. My eyes are complicated but Carla the manager was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me and even got me in for a recheck with Dr. Phu. I appreciate both of them working to help me due to my complicated situation. They were both extremely kind.

Service was good, but added warranty to a simple pair of glasses that was not needed and denied refund to cxl after the payment was process- probably reason why they have more available appt then the other locations. Will keep other location appts.

The personnel were great. Very professional and polite. I would highly recommend Far West Optical for your vision needs.
