I was very pleased with how friendly the staff is and very little waiting. Dr Gordon spent a lot of time to explain what he was seeing and made sure I understood. Plus, he has a nice sense of humor.
Hello, my family and I have been patients for several years and we always received great service by everyone but I would like to give exceptional recognition for Rebecca. Sometimes it's very hard to find a great doctor with great staff, Rebecca always, always gave us exceptional service and she did it with great enthusiasm and dedication. I would like Rebecca to get special recognition because she really deserves it. Rebecca's drive, kindness and enthusiasm makes her a great asset to this office and company.
I've been coming to this practice for a couple of decades and I have no complaints with the doctors or the service received. Today I had Robin as my tech and she's fabulous. Super knowledgeable and share she's been in the industry for a few decades. She explains what she's doing, why, and gives thorough instructions on what the patient needs to do when being tested. Dr DeLisle remains the doctor I currently see and I like how before my appointment is concluded he always asks if I have any questions or concerns for him.
Came in to the Manchester office an hour before my appointment so that I would have time to check into the optical area to try on glasses for a prescription I have from here. Arrived at 9:50 and it’s now 20 minutes later (I’m the only one here and signed in) and the girl has not even acknowledged me. She knows I’m here, as we made eye contact, but not even an “I’ll be with you shortly”. There are plenty of other places to take my business.
I hate to leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated here. I tried to make an appointment at the Torrington office and was told I would need to drive to Manchester for an eye exam that included a contact lens prescription. I had to take off work and drive nearly 2 hours to get there. I was 10 minutes late but I called an hour ahead to let them know I was stuck in traffic. They put me on hold and then dropped my call. When I arrived they made me wait 40 minutes which is okay because I was a little late myself. But the doctor who saw me was INCREDIBLY cold and dismissive. He didn't make eye contact with me or say a word to me outside of the questions for the eye exam, despite my awkward small talk because I felt uncomfortable. Then I had to wait almost 30 minutes to check out and they charged me more than I'm used to paying for an eye exam despite having insurance that they accepted. Whatever, I moved on and vowed to never return to a SightMD office ever again. But then the non-stop texts, calls and email reminders started. I have replied STOP, I have replied and said I'm not coming back. LEAVE ME ALONE. Give better care if you want to retain clients. I'm sure they have bots doing this, but I still feel harassed. Stop contacting me.
