Dr. Miles and staff are amazing. Had cataract surgery in both eyes with special issues I had had since birth and wore glasses since the age of 3. The first time I got to see without glasses felt like a miracle. Had my first annual checkup after surgery and everything looks great. Outstanding place for senior eye issues with Dr. Miles' caring, expertise in his field. He really is good at his job!!

Outstanding care. After having been diagnosed with Glaucoma, they took excellent care of me, with plenty of follow up visits to ensure that my outcome from eye surgeries was satisfactory. Unfortunately, the surgery has left me extremely sensitive to bright lights, but that’s certainly no fault of Florida Eye Specialist. It certainly beats having my sight getting impaired by the Glaucoma. With their outstanding care, I highly doubt that will ever be an issue. The pressures in my eyes have dropped significantly. I’m grateful for everything they’ve done.

The doctors are good but they really keep you waiting for hours. You will be seated several times in different waiting areas. Expect to be here at least 2.5 hours for your appointment. They say that they are understaffed but they just over schedule the appointments. There isn't a concern for your time.

Rapid response time for appointments but they don’t follow federal regulations for transparent pricing for uninsured individuals. If I have a referral for specific treatments or services from another licensed medical provider and explicitly request an exam to include these treatments and services, at minimum you should be able to tell me the starting price for the very specific, widely recognized treatments and services I am requesting, especially on accord of a referral from another healthcare provider. Educate whoever is calling your patients and running in circles to avoid providing pricing to “get you in the door” for an exam. You are healthcare providers, not used car salesmen. Act like it. 45 C.F.R. § 149.610(a)(1) “This section sets forth requirements for health care providers and health care facilities related to the issuance of good faith estimates… upon request or upon scheduling an item or service.” 45 C.F.R. § 149.610(b)(1)(iv) “Convening providers and convening facilities shall consider any discussion or inquiry regarding the potential costs of items or services under consideration as a request for a good faith estimate.” 45 C.F.R. § 149.610(b)(1)(vi)(C) “When a good faith estimate is requested by an uninsured (or self-pay) individual: Not later than 3 business days after the date of the request.” 42 U.S.C. § 300gg–136 This is the federal statute requiring providers/facilities to furnish GFEs to uninsured/self-pay individuals.
