I am very disappointed with my experience here. I had an eye exam with one of the Drs in June of 2025. I brought up that I’ve been experiencing my left eye drifting outwards and seeing double. It wasn’t happening all the time, but mainly when I was tired or day dreaming. Dr Forgues told me to cut screen time back and that he’d refer me to a neuro-opthamologist. He never sent a referral, so I ended up letting the issue go since I didn’t think it was dire. Well, a year later it is so much worse. It happens all day and it’s causing so much strain and headaches because all day I’m focusing on keeping my left eye straight. In my research I’ve been doing exercising to help, which he never even suggested, and came to the conclusion I need to see a specialist. I reached out via email on 3/18 and was told this “Hello Alexis, I will send your message to the medical team, but also you can have your pcp do this, as you will need a referral from them to set that up as well. Thank you. ” So, that’s what I did. I made an appt with my pcp and they wrote up a referral THAT DAY… when they tried sending it over to the specialist in Boston, they were told they need a referral AND clinical notes from my opthamologist. So I reached back out to Dr Forgues office on 3/24 requesting the clinical to be sent over, which I already requested previously on 3/18, and didn’t get a reply until yesterday 4/01 and was told this “Hello Alexis, Thank you for your message. I will forward this information to the medical team promptly.”… nothing has been prompt about this. They had the courtesy of responding to my pcp though when my pcp reached out requesting clinical notes on 3/25. From my PCP: “Hey Alexis, Just wanted to provide you with an update regarding getting your records. We finally spoke with someone at Dr. Forgues's office. They let us know that he will have to review the notes and sign off on them before they send them to us. Hopefully this will not take too much longer. We will keep an eye out and let you know when we have received them.” It’s April 2nd and still nothing. This is absolutely ridiculous. How long does it take to review notes and sign off on them? I don’t get it. Mind you, the conversation I had about my drifting eye was short. It’s not like he needs to read pages and pages of notes. I will NEVER come back here again… I made an appt with my old eye doctor for next week in case Dr Forgues office was being difficult and I’m so glad I did.
