Gateway Opthalmology

My expierence was a little frustrating at first. Despite making an appointment over the phone, I was told there was no appointment when I arrived at the Dunkirk location. All of my information had been entered, but there was not an existing appointment. However, the receptionist kindly asked the doctor if they would be able to take me, and the doctor was able to. I was grateful as I had taken time off of work. The appointment was efficient and informative, both the doctor and the optician. I would go back in the future, but would do more to confirm my appointment.

It was great everyone is very friendly from the receptionist to the doctor. They make you feel very comfortable. The wait time was a little longer than usual but they were very busy and it was a Friday. Would recommend them

The practice was running VERY late, which happens, but I ended up missing another appointment due to the delay and had to pay a missed appointment fee there as a consequence. I would rather have been rescheduled for another day. One technician did apologize for the delay, which is probably the difference between a one-star review and four stars. Scheduling seems to be a consistent problem here. My appointments always involve considerable waiting time and always run very long. I understand the desire to run a high-volume practice and make money, but if someone else decent moves into the area, I’m jumping ship. It’s not worth it for the mediocre quality of care I get.

The staff was very nice. They were kind & supportive & really seemed to enjoy their job. I felt like the doctor "rushed" me out. He was nice but seemed in a big hurry even tho there were no other patients in the waiting room.

The staff was welcoming and attentive. The eye doctor was great. He addressed all my concerns and was extremely informative. I would highly recommend this office!
