I can't say anything but greatness. I have been having problems and both eye doctors and staff did great. Got me in when needed and even on the eye doctors day off he was doing research on my behalf. Called me on weekend to discuss plan of action. All I can say is WOW and thank you so much for caring.
I went in for an eye exam and picked out a new pair of frames for my new lenses, and asked for it to only to be ordered if insurance were to go through. Instead, they ordered the glasses regardless, and have left me with the lab bill for the glasses even though I asked for them to not be ordered. My eye exam was extremely short and hasty, and I did not feel that the correction they said was even accurate based on how they were so eager to be done with the exam. I've been going to Jennings' office my entire life, but will never be returning due to their lackluster service both in the office and the exam room.
I have been going to this office for years but disappointed today. I got out of my appointment and was reflecting back on my experience. I was rushed thru my appt. Hmm. It was the end of the day and I guess they wanted to get out of there. So just rush me out. I called back at 5:07. The lady that ordered my glasses failed to add something that the Dr specifically told her I needed to be added to my lenses. I wasn't provided with a breakdown of my total but assumed that the order was correct. The price sounded right. Well I havent purchased my glasses there for the last 2 years. Now I remember why. After I add what I need and want that I have had in my glasses the last 2 years the cost is goong to be double. Shaking my head. I feel bad for the older people and for those that do not know to double check everything. Love Dr Jennings. The staff just needs to slow down and make sure everyone knows what they are getting .
I knew I was having problems, and tried for two months to get an appointment somewhere. I finally broadened my search to include the Wytheville area, and remembered I had gone to Dr. Jennings’ office when my children were young, and we lived at Elk Creek. Am I ever glad I called their office. This time I saw Dr. McDonel. He and his staff were very thorough, as well as reassuring and friendly. He diagnosed my problem, got me in to see a surgeon, and here I am, less than three months later, two days post surgery, and I have 20/20 vision already! I could have cried when I saw what I had been missing without really knowing the depth of it all. Gradually losing your sight, to me, was like watching your child grow. You know it’s to fast for you, and you wish time would slow down, but those who don’t see them every day think they must have grown overnight! I knew my vision kept getting worse, and fast, but not really how bad it was, UNTIL they took that bandage off for the first time! I could see most of the smallest line of letters they show you, and the colors of everything were so bright, I couldn’t stop looking for more and more things to surprise me as to what I’d been missing! I could have cried tears of joy if I could have stopped looking long enough! I could not be happier with the care that Dr. McDonel, Dr. Bradley, and their amazing staff have given me! I think that you will be pleased as well!
