Turned away because their computer said my new insurance wasn’t active when it shows on my app it’s active. I’m sick of Guthrie turning people away when they have serious issues. I was told to go to the ER for a problem they can’t deal with.

Judy Jeffers O.D. was absolutely brilliant and patient for my eye exam. She even set up a before and after Rx comparison. I then purchased frames and trifocal lenses from Twin Tiers and the results were fantastic...I was extremely pleased! I immediately went back and purchased three more pairs (more trifocals and a single lens reader). Again, all was perfect first time. BTW, their staff is wonderful! Twenty years of wearing glasses Twin Tiers is by far this areas best place to go and the most cost effective. Plus, for no additional charge, they will even make lenses to fit your older frames! Every outlet around here will insist that you purchase new frames for your new lenses. The only negative about Twin Tiers is their hours and their limited frame selection.

Sorry to say but the customer service has never been there. Eyes examined by there Dr. Ordered glasses in February 2014 as suggested by customer service at a cost between $550.00-$600.00. After several MONTHS and several lens replacements (wrong prescription first two sets of lenses) I received glasses that I could see with in May, 2014 replacing glasses I had worn in the auto repair industry for 4 1/2 years. Here I am now 1year 4 months later with what appears to be sever scratches on ONLY one of these very expensive lenses and I use the same cloth to clean both lenses when cleaning. Appears to me that one lens has a defective $100.00 anti-glare application. You guessed it $358.00 to replace lenses. NO WARRANTY. So I will go back to the "buy one get one free" as they are still cheaper as glasses lasted myself over 3 times longer.

This is the absolute worst eye care office I have ever been to. They randomly will tell you aout mandatory fees throughout your visit, it is definitely a local office trying to get every cent they can out of you. BEWARE I have known two different people other than myself that has just had an awful experience all the way around. If you don't believe me, just talk to the main office woman....she has the worst customer service skills and is extremely rude. If there was more eye are choices in Corning this business would never last.

Twin Tiers Eye Care is an optometrist located in Corning NY. They are a small local office that provides a professional, personal atmosphere. The husband and wife owners have operated the business for many years and are readily known in the community. If you want high quality eye care don't go to a chain visit your local optometrist. I believe they participate with most major eye and medical insurance.
