Have been coming to same locations for over 20 years. Have never had a complaint. My 2 doctors are compassionate and caring. I would recommend Dr Sams and Dr OConnell to anyone who needed a good doctor or Endocrinologist. At the age of 75 I need a healthy good doctor relationship and that I have

I think anyone would be very happy with my doctor at Optum - Del Amo, Dr. Jeffrey Pan. One can tell that he is happy to be helping people with their health. He is always cheerful and energetic. David Santos, Dr. Pan's assistant, is great as well. David has said that he is pleased to be working with Dr. Pan. Visits to Optum - Del Amo are always easy and pleasant - not much time in waiting room or much time waiting alone in the examination room.

I’ve gone here since I was a child but am finally parting ways with Optum. The experience I had in fall 2025 solidified my decision. My original primary care physician left before my standing appointment, and I was not notified by the office to get a new one to refill my prescription. Once I finally came in for an appointment, they told me I had to pick a new physician since I was only seeing a nurse practitioner. The difference wasn’t really explained to me prior to booking the appointment, but I have met with NPs in the past and thought they would act as my primary. Unfortunately, this NP was not thoughtful like my past doctor was here. Didn’t sit down to go over my chart with me, any concerns I brought up about my health wasn’t met by any effort to get follow ups. I was told I have to get blood testing and come back, but if that was always the case for my routine blood testing, it should have happened before my appointment was scheduled. To finish it off, I usually receive forms to fill out to see where I’m at with my depression and anxiety; the NP said she would get them for me but never did. Nor did I get my flu shot I told her that I wanted done today. Overall, I waited months to get this appointment, waited longer in the waiting room than the NP spent talking to me, and the appointment didn’t end up being meaningful in anyway. Yes, I could have told them before I left that I was supposed to get my forms and the flu shot, but I knew this was no longer the right fit for me. I still believe that the front office staff and the nurses that do the initial questioning when bringing you to the appointment room are always very nice and helpful. Always look around for a doctor or NP that fits.

Nice staff, but unfortunately VERY hard to reach on the phone. You have to carve out 45-90 minutes of time to wait on hold, listening to a message telling you to bring your medication bottles, ID, insurance, and to arrive 15 minutes early, interrupting the hold music every twenty seconds. This location is nice to go into in person, but extremely frustrating to call. I would highly recommend adding a callback or voicemail feature at the very least. I understand you are all very busy at work, but so are the patients calling in. 😔 Ignoring the call issues, this location would get a 4.5-5/5 from me. Great staff overall.

It is then worst medical facility in the area. The front staff is totally non helpful. When you call to solve a problem even after 3 times,no one takes the lead and takes care of the patient. Each time I have to wait to talk to some one for 50-70 minutes and the same issue still not solved. In top that, when you are waiting to talk to someone, the same issue still voice comes over and over and repeats the same non sense information about the portal etc ( totally useless). The primary care physician Dr. Pan is excellent and few years ago it was easy to get an appointment with him. Now, he is super busy and you have to 4-5 months just to see him which is ridiculous. Most importantly the Angie front staff should be fired along with their manager for just one reason- lack of care support. Based on these facts and issues I personally experienced, I would not not recommend this health care facility to anyone at all.
