After eight years as a patient at Heights Optometry, it's hard to put into words how grateful I am for everyone here. At my annual exam yesterday, I had the opportunity to see Dr. Walton again for the first time in several years. As I shared that I'm retiring and relocating out of San Diego, our conversation turned into a heartfelt farewell that reminded me why this practice is so special. During our visit, Dr. Walton said, "We aim to provide the best possible service." I told her that, in my opinion, what Heights Optometry provides goes far beyond service. Service is something you receive. Care is something you feel. For the past eight years, every doctor and every member of the staff has made me feel genuinely cared about—not just cared for. They remember you, they listen, they take their time, and they create the kind of personal connection that makes you actually look forward to your eye appointments. A special thank you to Jess at the front desk. From the moment you walk in, she's always warm, bubbly, personable, and incredibly professional. She has a wonderful way of making every patient feel genuinely welcome, and she's been one of the many reasons I've always been happy to return year after year. As I begin a new chapter in retirement and prepare to leave San Diego, saying goodbye to this office is surprisingly bittersweet. Finding healthcare providers you trust is one thing. Finding people who consistently make you feel welcomed, valued, and cared for is something much rarer. Thank you, Dr. Walton, Jess, and the entire Heights Optometry team, for eight wonderful years of exceptional care. You have set the standard for what healthcare should feel like, and I will miss you all more than you know.
