I had a great experience at Helmus Optometry. This was my first visit, and I was greeted with a warm, friendly welcome as soon as I walked in. The entire staff was knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I had a comprehensive eye exam and also ordered progressive lenses for two pairs of glasses. The process was smooth, and I appreciated the staff’s expertise in helping me choose the right lenses. Overall, the service was excellent from start to finish. I would definitely recommend Helmus Optometry to anyone looking for friendly, knowledgeable eye care.

I had a wonderful experience at this store, and Dr. Tu is absolutely amazing! She showed so much care and patience throughout my visit. She took the time to explain everything really clearly and did a fantastic job with both my vision exam and overall eye health check. What I appreciated most was how she tailored my experience—she actually modified my prescription specifically for my situation and prescribed a pair of glasses dedicated to looking at computer screens at work. They have been incredibly helpful! The staff who helped with the initial eye checks were also very helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend her and this store!

I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Zada and the entire office. From the very first phone call to the moment I walked in, everyone was so kind, welcoming, and compassionate. The front desk staff made me feel at ease, and the assistants were friendly, patient, and genuinely caring. I have a lot of complex health issues, and medical appointments can be stressful for me. Dr. Zada went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, safe, and truly heard. They took the time to listen carefully, understand my concerns, and explain everything in a way that made me feel informed and reassured. I never felt rushed, and I left feeling like I was treated as a person, not just another patient. It's not often that you find an office where every member of the team is so compassionate and professional. I'm incredibly grateful for the care I received and will absolutely be coming back. I go here every year! I get both prescription glasses and sunglasses here, and have my annual eye exam. Helmus Optometry has a good number of optometrists, technicians, and opticians. Everyone I have seen is very competent and friendly. They know how to check and use insurance and advise on pricing. They also have a range of different types of frames at various price points. I've always found parking easily (although I go during summer break so downtown is pretty empty). They also email or text (I prefer text so I get that) to remind you of an upcoming appointment.

I highly recommend Helmus Optometry, and had a great exam and optical services thanks to interactions with everyone in the office. The technicians were friendly and competent. Dr. Tyler Spilman's careful exam and excellent explanations in response to my questions were greatly appreciated -honestly the absolute best optical exam I have ever experienced! Then Deanna was super friendly, helpful and skillful in helping me select the perfect new eyeglasses from a huge pile of vey cool frames.
