I had my yearly exam today and my insurance had changed since last year. Marlene took good care of me by making the appropriate phone calls and explaining the coverage to me very clearly. Also..every time I call in or go by with a need, she is extremely friendly and helpful!!

Such wonderful staff! So helpful in every way. Great job in explaining what insurance covered. Helped in choosing the right frames. Quaint little place. Not from Hondo but the experience was wonderful as opposed to some I e been to in San Antonio. Highly recommend them ❤️
The receptionist was nice, however the doctor was rude and short with me. I told him I was embarrassed about not having an eye appointment in years, but he didn't care. He maybe spent five minutes looking my eyes over. I definitely felt like I got the last appointment on a Friday type of treatment. After I pick up my glasses I won't be going back.
UPDATE!!!!! After posting this review the lead manager called me. She apologized and asked for a second chance. I went back and the staff again apologized and completely took care of my needs. The optometrist is a little quiet. The second visit was free. Thank you Him Country Vision Center for making it right. Anyone can have a bad day. I will use them again. ** INITIAL REVIEW** I would not use this business if I was going blind. First, they call me to come in for exam. Once I enter in given Paperwork and told to wait outside. Due to Covid they would call me in. After waiting 20 min outside they call me in. After giving my insurance info 4 additional people walked in. No one was asked to wait outside. Capacity? Sure. After another 20 min wait? I was told they don't accept my insurance. I'm a 100% service related disabled veteran. Funny how they expect freedom but turn away disabled veterans. Never again
Hill Country Vision Center is AMAZING! I have been to every vision center in Kerr County through the years, and these guys stand tall above the rest. Recently, I had an issue with another retailer for materials while I was trying to save money. I went back to Hill Country Vision Center and Brett made everything better by fixing my issue, no questions asked. Veronica was very polite and took my concerns serious and I couldn’t ask for better service or eyeglasses retailer and doctors office anywhere in the Hill Country! Thanks again Hill Country Vision Center!
