Dr. Sherif Khalil with Houston Eye Associates is truly the best! No wonder he has an all-star rating! On my initial visit, he was so patient and took his time to listen to my concerns. He was very informative & reassuring in explaining his diagnosis details with me and the steps in treating the small cyst on my eyelid. My minor procedure went perfectly well under his care. Dr. Khalil is a very caring doctor and an expert in his field. Thank you, Dr. Khalil for your phenomenal care. You have a God-given gift as a doctor of ophthalmology and are a gift to all your patients. I’m so very thankful!

Dr. Lindsey Harris, Crystal and the entire staff are nothing short of amazing! Even in a very busy practice they make you feel like you are all that matters. I have spent a lot of time with them this past week and never once did I feel rushed. They speak to you in terms you can understand and make you understand what is going on. The are professional, understanding, compassionate and extremely good at their jobs. I cannot recommend them enough.

He was professional, thorough, and took the time to explain my diagnosis and walk me through my eye imaging results in a way I could actually understand. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. Highly recommend.

My mom had one of the worst experiences she has ever had with the front office staff at Houston Eye Associates. The biggest issue was the complete lack of communication and the way the front desk staff treated her. Before her appointment, my mom called Houston Eye Associates to verify her insurance and specifically asked about her coverage. The front desk staff never told her she could be responsible for nearly a $200 charge. She arrived believing everything had been verified because that is exactly what she called to confirm. At check-in, the front desk staff never mentioned that her insurance would not cover the appointment or that she could owe anything out of pocket. Instead, they told her the doctor had to evaluate her first. After the appointment was over, the front office staff suddenly informed her she owed almost $200. By then, she had no opportunity to decide whether she wanted to proceed with the appointment. When my mom asked why the front desk staff had not told her this before she was seen, the woman at the front desk was incredibly rude, dismissive, and argumentative. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility for their failure to communicate, she blamed my mom and insisted she had spoken to the wrong people. That was simply not true. My mom had spoken with the front office staff before her appointment. This was a failure by the front desk staff at Houston Eye Associates, not the patient. Patients should never be blindsided with a bill after their appointment because the front office staff failed to verify insurance or disclose expected costs beforehand. The front office staff's lack of professionalism and refusal to accept responsibility made an already frustrating situation even worse. Based on the way the front desk staff at Houston Eye Associates treated my mom, I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

The staff is always very courteous and attentive to your needs. I have been a patient of Dr. Khalil for over a decade beginning with my laser surgery. I am very pleased with the eye care by him and his staff that I am receiving. They have my highest recommendation.
