I had a great opthalmologist in the Millburn office - Elizabeth Roll, whom I saw for 4 years. Recently this physician left the practice and I have not been able to get my medical records which I need in order to have an appointment outside the practice. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact the office by phone, I stopped by the Millburn office to fill out paperwork, requesting my records be sent to my new opthalmologist. This was 3 weeks ago & nothing has yet been sent over. I don't know what to do, since I have an appointment in a week. The front desk staff is not only incompetent, but rude. Whenever I have had questions or requests, I get brushed to the side because they are "busy". If you have not visited this office, my advice is to go elsewhere. The doctors may be good, but if you can't get scheduled or other help you need from the front office, you won't get anywhere. #DisappointedInMillburn

I called for same day appointment for a broken blood vessel in my eye The person told me I had to be there by 11:30 I had to leave work early I checked in and oddly did not have to sign in Should have been my first clue I was supposed to see dr Rai After waiting two hours I realized dr Rai was gone By one o’clock I was seen by dr Walsman. Who politely told me nothing could be done for my issue They of course did a vision check and glaucoma check so they could bill my insurance I am very disappointed in the treatment I received or as a matter of fact not I am sure if dr Rai knew I was there she would have at least examined my eye Yes I agree the reception desk is rude Because I know I’m due for exam In October and they told me. No on file They made me feel Like I wasted their time. When they actually wasted mine. No way to treat another professional. I am a nurse

I had a really positive experience overall. The front desk staff and the doctor were very nice, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The service on the medical side was great, and everything felt smooth and welcoming. The only issue, which was very off-putting, was my experience at the Bayonne Optical store inside the office. There was a shorter, older woman named Adele assisting there who came across as very rude and uninterested in helping. While we were trying to ask a few questions about lenses, she was on her phone texting and seemed visibly annoyed when we spoke to her. We had to repeat our questions multiple times, and even then, she avoided answering them and maintained a dismissive attitude throughout. Because of this experience, we decided to leave and not use the optical store. It’s unfortunate, because the rest of the visit was excellent.

The Dr I saw and who performed my cataract surgery was great, Dr. Walsman, and I would absolutely recommend him. With that said however, I don’t recommend Hudson eye. They pack people in and the wait times are ridiculous.

14 days and still can’t get an appointment. I have never in my life encountered anything like this in my life with any health related business. There is no way to possibly get through the phone system to schedule an appointment and the online system won’t let me schedule the type of exam I need. I don’t know what type of business would make it this hard for people in need of help to get an appointment.
