I had a great 2 years with Dr Elizabeth Roll, an opthalmologist at Hudson Eye Physicians in the Millburn office. Shortly after my 2nd visit in April 2026, the office called me to inform me that Dr Roll had left the practice and they were assigning me to an optometrist in the practice. I indicated to them this was not optimal as I have an issue with one of my eyes and would prefer to see an opthalmologist. The receptionist who had called me was rude and abrupt and hung up. When I called the office back, I was told that the optometrist was the only other doctor whom they were scheduling appointments with going forward, as he was the newest in the group. This was not the case based on their website, where you could make an appointment online. I indicated this to her, and she again hung up on me. I will be looking for a new group of doctors. I couldn't understand why she was so rude. Poor bedside manner and she should not be working in a customer service based business.

I had a very disappointing experience here. The level of disorganization was concerning, and it often felt like the staff and providers were not on the same page. Clear communication and patient-centered care are essential in healthcare, and unfortunately, that was not reflected in my visit. The overall experience left me feeling anxious rather than supported.

Absolutely ridiculous wait time upto 1 hour for a regulat eye exam! i just left and they lost a patient. Office needs to do a better job with scheduling.

Dr. Walsman is the best. He really listens to what you have to say. Ive been going to him for a few years now and he's awesome.

My son is on the autism spectrum and can be very aggressive if agitated. The wait was very short to get him in the examination room. They were very patient with him and got the exam done without a hitch. We will definitely go back for his annual exam.
