Was called back and didn't have to sit in a room and wait. They are setting up cataract surgery for me then I will get glasses. I love the way they treat you and being able to get out quick.

I went to Huffman earlier this spring and want to start with the good. The person who performed my eye exam was excellent—very knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I was impressed with the exam and how quickly I was in and out. Unfortunately, my experience with the glasses was very different. I tried on several pairs and eventually chose a pair that I really liked. After the exam, lenses, frames, and everything else, I spent over $900. When you’re in the office trying on glasses, you may wear each pair for 20 seconds or so, which obviously isn’t long enough to know whether they will cause problems after wearing them for hours. When my glasses were ready a few weeks later, I started wearing them immediately. By the end of the first day, I noticed a rough, red, painful sore developing on the side of my nose. I stopped wearing them, allowed it to heal, and tried the glasses again. The exact same thing happened. I eventually tried them several more times over the next few weeks, and every time I had the same problem. I called Huffman and was initially told there was nothing they could do because once you purchase the glasses and leave the office, they don’t exchange them. I was also told that part of the issue was related to the lens I had chosen. This was confusing because I had specifically paid extra for what I understood to be a better/thinner lens. At first, I was told I had not paid for that lens, but after checking my order, the employee acknowledged that I had. At that point, I was basically told to bring the glasses in and they could look at them, but there was no guarantee anything could be done. I initially decided to just live with it since I had a backup pair. After trying the glasses several more times and having the same problem, my husband encouraged me to call back. After speaking with a manager, I was told they still could not exchange the original glasses, but if I purchased another pair, they would allow me to get the second pair at their cost. I did that and paid around $200 more. Two weeks later, I received the new pair, and thankfully they have been wonderful. I love them and have had no problems whatsoever. What bothers me now is that today my husband asked what happened to the original glasses and whether Huffman had ever actually looked at them. I had honestly forgotten about them. I called and was told that I would not be getting those glasses back. That is where I have a real problem. I paid full price for those original glasses—over $900 including my exam and everything associated with the purchase. The second pair was not given to me for free; I paid approximately $200 for them. I understand that Huffman gave me a discounted price on the second pair because of the problem, but I don’t understand why I would not be entitled to the original glasses that I paid for. Whether I wanted to wear them, keep them as a backup, or throw them away should have been my decision. I also strongly suspect the original lenses contributed to the problem. The lenses in those glasses were noticeably thicker than the lenses in my new pair, and the new glasses do not cause the sore on my nose. I’ve worn glasses for approximately 20 years and have never experienced anything like this. For me, the biggest disappointment isn’t simply that the first pair didn’t work. Problems can happen. It’s how the situation was handled afterward. When someone spends over $900 on a pair of glasses, I think there should be more willingness to work with the customer when there is a legitimate fit or comfort problem—especially when the customer has tried repeatedly to make the glasses work. Glasses are expensive, and not everyone has the ability to simply spend another $200 when a $900+ purchase with exam doesn’t work. Insurance coverage and individual financial circumstances are different for everyone, but for us, that is a significant amount of money. The new glasses are great, but unfortunately, because of the way this situation was handled, I would not return to Huffman or recommend them to others.

They do a very good job. Very fast service. Very knowledgeable Team. Never have I had to wait past my appointment time that’s normally prior to my appointment time if I get there early Great selection of frames. They have frames from very affordable prices. I think the minimum price is $50 up to I guess as much as you want to spend. The registering process is very easily and done online prior to your appointment so saving yourself time. I guess the only thing that makes me curious is the name it sounds more like an attorney’s office rather than an eye doctors practice LOL LOL. And I think it is two weeks if you get glasses by the time they come in, but that’s not bad in my opinion. Overall, excellent service excellent practice I would recommend them to anybody needing glasses or other eye care.

I was given a incorrect prescription here. I was willing to take a partial credit in lieu of a full refund, but had no success. Some times businesses make mistakes. But the good ones own up to them. Not this one. Stay away from them!
