Dr. Rachel Halatin is a phenominal optometrist! She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and very thorough. I have recommended her to several of my family and friends who have also loved her. She is an absolute gem and highly recommended!! I also receive dry eye light therapy there and Cianan is amazing to work with as well. He is very attentive, organized, and caring. He is a true professional who is a joy to work with!
I can't say enough about the positive experience I had at the office from beginning to end. I had several complexities spanning from insurance issues, to complex refraction needs and optometry challenges. The patience and good taste in frame selection! Professionalism with heart and results that really matter! Certainly passing on this practice to others. It is a gem of a place. Several in my family have benefited greatly. Anyone coming will"see" the difference. Thanks for making my eye needs a priority and so much more manageable!
I visited Hunterdon Family Eye Center for the first time and had a great experience. The office was organized, the check-in process was smooth, and the staff at the front desk were welcoming and helpful. The optometry team was professional and made everything easy to understand. Dr. Abbas was extremely thorough and made sure my questions were answered along the way. Overall, it was a friendly, efficient appointment, and I’m happy to have found a practice I plan to return to.
Office is clean and the staff is very friendly! Just a heads-up to make sure you understand how your exams will be billed. Last year, I paid $40 for a contact lens fitting, so I expected something similar this year since my prescription didn’t change. This year, it was around $148. When I asked about the difference, I was told that I had been billed for a standard fitting last year when it should have been a premium. It may vary depending on your insurance, but it’s definitely worth asking about costs beforehand so there are no surprises! I also did not receive my contact lenses prescription after the exam, just the glasses one. Just be sure to check before you leave but if you do forget, they can mail or email it to you!
Dr. Rachel is so sweet, upfront and personable! My vision is not good and she talked to me about it and my options so honestly, with care and comfort. I cannot wait to see her again next year! And she also sees children, which I will bring my son to see her as well!
