Huntington Beach Optometry

I've been going to HB optometry for a few years and I love them! From the front desk to the helpers who give you the eye tests. Everyone is so kind, respectful and super helpful. They offer great opinions on glasses to how they fit and if the style suits your face. I see Dr Tsai (Ivan) I have seen his wife Shilah early on, they are a team and I love it. I would highly recommend them, I live in Cypress and choose to drive in to see them, thats how much I like them. Thank you Dr. Tsai!!

3 visits later , I left frustrated, the front desk is rude. I had (visit one) I went in because one eye was bothering me, I got eye lid scrubs and eye drops, which didn’t help much. (Visit two) basically a repeat, just a Yes, I did different eye drops, again didn’t help much. But the doctor told me to come back for a follow up if it doesn’t improve, Keep in mind I’m paying an office visit fee each time. Also got two pairs of glasses (almost $1000) ( visit three) my eye hasn’t really changed from the first visit, so I called to schedule an appointment, they where rude even trying to get in, I think it’s because I mentioned a follow up.. once I got there they where almost aggressive. They immediately went the fact that I had an office visit Fee. After the composition the doc heard it and said we will see what’s going on first , so after the exam, with was the same results as the first two visits,, the front desk immediately went to the fact that I owed another office visit,, Mean and aggressive about it as well Not a pleasant place No compassion In my opinion

I had my annual eye exam today and was honestly a bit nervous going in—this was my first visit to the optometrist since having LASIK surgery couple years back. From the moment I walked in, my experience was nothing but positive. Dr. Christine Nguyen was incredibly kind, professional, and thorough, taking the time to explain everything clearly and make me feel at ease throughout the entire appointment. I never felt rushed, and I truly appreciated the care and attention to detail. At the end of the exam, she even helped me choose a new pair of frames that actually fit my small face—something I’ve always struggled with. That extra level of thoughtfulness made all the difference. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable optometrist!

We have been coming to see Dr. Tsai for many years. He is awesome and very knowledgeable. And he is just a cool guy as well.

I had a great experience with Dr. Nguyen at Huntington Beach Optometry! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. Dr. Nguyen was professional, thorough, and took the time to explain every step of the exam. She listened to my concerns and was incredibly helpful in finding the right contact lenses for me. Instead of rushing into a prescription, she gave me trial lenses to test out first to make sure they were the right fit and comfort level. I really appreciated her thoughtful approach and attention to detail. I felt like she genuinely cared about my eye health and making sure I was completely satisfied.
