This was the first time I’d been here and I’m glad I chose this place!! The phone call to schedule an appointment was easy and quick, then when I had my appointment, the front desk was welcoming and friendly. The lady who called me back was very sweet, and the doctor was kind as well, plus they both explained everything and answered all my questions!! I’d never been to a place that allowed a trial of contacts and said I could call back if I needed to fix the trial prescription. The man who helped me check out was also thorough and made the process quick, easy, and he was friendly!! I’ll be coming back here for my future appointments. Thanks so much to the staff!

I always have a great experience here from the moment I enter the door. The front desk ladies are always very friendly, and I never have to wait long to be seen. Dr. Hunt is wonderful at what he does and he is also very personable. He takes the time to talk with you and take an interest not only in your eye care, but in you as a person as well. Jada was phenomenal when it came to picking out a pair of frames and lenses. There are a lot of decisions to make when it comes to style, fit, and which lenses will be the best for your needs. Jada guided me on what my insurance would cover and which frames offered additional discounts with my insurance. She went and gathered different frames to try from the back, and took the time to look up the frames I was interested in to check on alternate colors that were available. Jada was able to answer all of my questions and she explained the various features of lenses that were offered as far as transitional and anti glare etc. Thank you to everyone who made this a pleasant experience!
I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about I Care Vision Associates. I have been a patient for years and every single time I visit, I receive superior customer service and outstanding care from the staff. Dr. Caleb Hunt, in particular, is amazing. He goes out of his way to make sure I am satisfied with my optical solutions and gives me options and suggestions like I am a member of his family. . The entire staff is friendly, compassionate and thorough. Plus the newly remodeled building is beautiful! I highly recommend this office.
Please start communicating with your patients that routine eye exams cannot be performed twice a year even under different insurance plans before scheduling an appointment for a similar but different procedure you know will not be covered by insurance. If this had been disclosed from the beginning I would have never gone through with the appointment and I would have just waited until a year had passed from my last routine exam. This is not common knowledge and I didn't even know what a "refraction" was until today when I saw it itemized on a paper bill I received. I went into my appointment thinking I was getting a routine eye exam with contact lense evaluation, but apparently that wasn't the case and now I am out over $100 for a misunderstanding that could have easily been avoided. 😞
Our family has been patients of this practice for several years, and we have always had positive experiences with Dr. Harrison and the staff. Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Buchanan was very different. During my 9-year-old granddaughter's appointment, she became fearful of a retinal scan. She has been seen at this office for years and has successfully completed a different retinal imaging method in the past. As the discussion continued, my granddaughter became increasingly anxious after hearing that if she could not complete the requested scan, the alternative would involve eye drops that my granddaughter understood would burn her eyes and cause pain for hours afterward. When I requested the imaging method she had successfully completed during previous visits, I was left with the impression that it was not considered an acceptable alternative. I explained that the other imaging method was acceptable to her endocrinology team, but we were unable to reach common ground. I also asked several times that my granddaughter's prior records be reviewed so we could determine exactly which imaging methods had been used during previous visits. Those records did not appear to have any bearing on Dr. Buchanan's position. Given that she is NOT the child's regular eye doctor, I felt that she was just dismissive of the prior care that the child had received in that office. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that I chose to end the appointment and reschedule with Dr. Harrison. I left the appointment with the clear understanding that my decision was viewed as placing my granddaughter's eye health at risk. This was frustrating given that she has had annual retinal screening since age five, despite recommendations generally beginning those scans at age ten. My granddaughter has been very clear that she does not want to see Dr. Buchanan ever again. We remain appreciative of the care our family has received from Dr. Harrison and look forward to continuing our relationship with the practice as soon as he is able to see us again.
