I first saw Dr. Leah in May 2025 at the recommendation of my out of state eye doctor (where I am from). I had been experiencing a persistent issue and my previous doctor referred me to Dr. Leah because of the technology Dr. Leah utilizes in her office. We were able to keep my issue at bay for over a year after just one treatment with Dr. Leah and when it returned this year, Dr. Leah came to the rescue right away! I greatly appreciate her warmth and compassion as well as her flexibility and ability to see patients in the office on short notice and after normal business hours. Dr. Leah shared with me what I would consider to be her 'pain to purpose' story of how she found this niche and the root of her passion which I really enjoyed learning about. Her communication throughout the in-clinic treatment is outstanding and her touch is gentle but firm without compromising the desired outcome or effect of treatment. She also reviews all photos and videos with you and explains all of her observations in real time so you have a thorough and complete understanding of what is going on with your body and the basis for her recommended treatment and at-home care. I really feel safe and cared for when I am in her office.

I strongly recommend Innovative EyeCare and Dr. Leah. I was suffering from extreme eye irritation and inflammation that 6 other doctors/specialists were diagnosing as allergy symptoms. After researching Extreme Dry Eye Syndrome I was in search of doctors that perform IPL treatments. I initially visited a different Ophthalmologist but was then referred to Dr. Leah, and I am so glad she did. Dr. Leah is extremely knowledgeable and has state-of-the art equipment, setting her apart. She has amazing bedside manners. She showed me pictures and videos explaining exactly what was happening in my eye. She performed both Tixel and IPL treatments addressing the root cause of the symptoms and getting my eyes back in a healthy state. I am so very happy and thankful that Dr. Leah is now part of my eye care team.

tl;dr IPL treatment for my stye was extremely effective and Dr. Leah and her staff are wonderful! Long story: I realized I had an upper eyelid stye developing one afternoon, having had 2 previous ones. I was very upset because they took literally months to fully resolve and were so painful and unsightly. I was googling and came across a post on reddit by someone with the same stye, and IPL was recommended. I’d never heard of it before but searched and found it offered by Innovative EyeCare. I called and they were able to get me in right away. The treatment itself is slightly painful since the stye itself is so tender, but it really wasn’t that bad. And wow, the results were worth it! Instead of weeks of worsening inflammation and gruesome rupturing, the stye never got anywhere near as bad as previous ones and was mostly gone in 10 days. I was shocked and delighted! I cannot explain what a relief it was (and is) to know this treatment is available and effective. Dr. Leah was so kind and knowledgeable, she checked in with me repeatedly to make sure I was improving. I highly recommend her!

Dr Leah Johnson Has been absolutely life-changing in the treatments she has rendered for my extreme severe dry eyes. Over the past 12 years, my eyes have gotten dryer and dryer to the point that I had excruciating pain day and night. I have undergone two of her treatments that included infrared and Tixel Procedures, The Tixel Was just approved by the FDA in January 2025 and had a huge impact on opening up my oil glands After the first treatment, my dry eyes improve 50% and after completion of my second treatment, my dry eye symptoms are 80% reduced. I feel like a normal person. I no longer have severe pain and dryness in my eyes that nothing had helped with before.i am going for my 3 rd treatment in 2 days. I’m a registered nurse that has been slowly losing my vision and horrible eye pain from lack of oil in the glance to the eye.
