As much as I like this place out of convenience and staff, will probably not be returning. Their prices are astronomical even after insurance. My daughter's annual exam, contact fitting fee and a year's supply of contacts totaled over $430! In this economy, I'll save money traveling to Tulsa and ordering from Zoellner, get a pair of glasses and year's supply of contacts under $180!

I was really excited to find a new eye doctor in Edmond and get established at Innovative Eyecare, but unfortunately my experience with Elizabeth Burkhart was frustrating from start to finish. I went in for a routine eye exam and to get an updated contact prescription. One of my eyes was a little red, so she prescribed eye drops and told me to come back in two weeks. No problem. I used the drops exactly as directed and came back for my follow-up. By then my eye looked much better, and I was told it wasn’t infected. But after going through another contact lens exam, I was told my eye still wasn’t quite where she wanted it to be, given more drops, charged again, and told to come back in another two weeks. At that point I started wondering why I kept having to come back when my eye was improving and I still couldn’t get the contacts and prescription I originally came in for. I’ve been going to eye doctors my entire life, and my stepdad is an eye doctor, so this just didn’t sit right with me. The repeated visits, extra charges, and constant delays made me feel like I was being strung along instead of actually helped. On top of that, Elizabeth was over 30 minutes late to my appointment. I understand things happen and schedules run behind, but a little communication or even a quick apology would have been appreciated. If patients are expected to show up on time, I think it’s fair to expect the same level of respect in return. The disappointing part is that everyone else at Innovative Eyecare was great. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. I honestly wanted this office to be my new eye doctor. Instead, I left feeling like my time and money weren’t being respected. I’ll be finding a different eye doctor moving forward and won’t be returning.
