I've seen Dr McLemore several times for exam and glasses, She is an excellent Optometrist and a kind person. I'm a bit of a fussy customer and she has always gone out of her way to ensure that I was happy with the final product. The new office has a cheerful atmosphere.

She invests in her education, attending multiple conferences on weekends, then returns to serve her patients with warmth, skill, and genuine connection. Talking to her feels like chatting with a friend who also happens to be a brilliant eye doctor. I now have contacts that give me nearly the same vision as my glasses, and my adventurous spirit is back. If you’re searching for someone who truly listens, refuses to settle, and is dedicated to giving you the best vision possible — you’re doing yourself a disservice if Dr. Liz isn’t your go-to eye care specialist.

I had such a great experience with Dr. McLemore at Island Girl Eye Care! This was my first eye exam as an adult—I hadn’t been to the eye doctor since I was a kid—so I was a little nervous and unsure of what to expect. Dr. McLemore was incredibly thorough, patient, and kind. She made me feel completely comfortable, took the time to explain everything clearly, and helped me pick out my very first pair of glasses. I really appreciated how helpful and attentive she was throughout the entire process. Highly recommend for anyone, especially first-timers like me!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to see an eye doctor and was feeling a little anxious about going again. I’m such a baby about things touching my eyes lol. But I had the best experience with Dr. McLemore and would 100000% recommend seeing her! She is so easy to talk to and makes you feel so at home. It hardly felt like an appointment and more like catching up with a friend! She was super professional though, the office was very clean, and when I left I really felt heard in regards to my eye concerns. She’s very responsive over email and the appointment was very simple to schedule online! I would see her again without hesitation!

A couple years back I was a nightmare client and really indecisive about frames and lenses. Liz recommended these cool black frames, due to their life time warranty, and jumped through hoops to get the lenses that suited me. Good call! Recently the frame developed a stress crack near the left side hinge, where I grab to take off, and put on, my glasses. I emailed Liz about the warranty. She told me she would take care of it. I took my glasses to the shop and she swapped the frames out for new ones in the store. A few minutes later I walked out with essentially a new pair! Awesome! Liz an awesome, fun, and cool lady with an adorable dog. She's always very professional and responsive with emails. I definitely recommend her if you're looking for an optometrist.
