Took my family for an eye checkup. Dr Brown was very friendly, very helpful, and thoroughly explained everything. When choosing glasses, we were only shown what was covered by my insurance as options. This made my wife very frustrated as she didn't see anything she liked in that selection. I, not Island Optique, advised her to look at the whole store and we'd pay the difference if necessary. Then when selecting options on the lenses, there was a misunderstanding about coatings. We didn't realize this misunderstanding until the glasses arrived. When we mentioned it, the gentleman from Island Optique insisted it was offered and we declined. Having glasses before, my wife would have never declined this option. That being said, we wanted to make it right regardless of who or how the mistake was made. Island Optique's response after discussing options was to accept the items as a return and then to take our business elsewhere. We were willing to spend more in their store and weren't even mad about the misunderstanding. To treat a customer by accepting a return and telling them to go elsewhere is unacceptable in my book. Dr Brown is FANTASTIC but beware the process and hope you don't have any problems!
