I’m sure James is a good ophthalmologist but being a patient here is simply untenable. Appointments literally mean nothing at this practice. You can show up 15 minutes early for your appointment and still have to wait 3 hours to be seen. If you are considering becoming a patient here, you shouldn’t.

Dr. Song is an excellent ophthalmologist. He is very caring and attentive to patients. My mom did a cataract procedure with him, and he checked in often to make sure her recovery was ok. He also called the night before the procedure to make sure she was fully prepared. And he also called the night after the procedure with detailed instructions on how to care for the eye and to check in how she was feeling. The procedure was a success, and her eyes are both fully fixed now because he was very accurate and detailed in his procedure. We highly recommend Dr Song.
I agree with first review I have been going their numerous times and have spent up to 4 hours at the office. I love Dr.Song and the change is very hard to make now. I think the office staff is not able to manage his office and they are not able to communicate properly. I have to make arrangements to drop and pick and I cannot afford to sit there for 3 hours. no one can. they should have a better times expectation for their patients. At one point they refused to see my child because they wanted the co payment first and I had my insurance on the phone explaining I don't need to pay the large copay. I ended up paying because the child was diluted. the copay was reimbursed but but it was not easy. I don't think diluting a patient and examining should take 3 hours.
Had an appointment at 10:50 am and still waiting. is it really the doctor's fault or his staff who can't manage his appointments? the doctor doesn't make the appointments, they do. Most of the time is spent with the office admins whether you're waiting or calling in for an appointment or more information. If they can't give you a good reason for a 2-hour delay and they say it's the doctor's fault and they can't get him to move any faster, then shame on them. They should at least let you know how long you're going to have to wait and give you the choice to either reschedule or wait. I've switched doctors for less.
Worst doctor ever! Very rude! He suspected I had covid despite the fact that I did covid test as they asked and the result being negative, and I had covid already one month ago. He insisted I should do a test in a hospital. He wanted me to wear double masks even when I was already wearing a N95 mask the staff gave me. All of this happened before he even started to look at my eyes and diagnose my eye problem. Claerly he's only interested in protecting himself against possible covid! No sympathy for the patient at all!
