I had a wonderful experience here from start to finish. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming, and they made the whole visit smooth and stress-free. The doctor was absolutely amazing. He was very thorough and took the time to explain every test he was performing, as well as any optional parts of the exam and their out-of-pocket costs before moving forward. I really appreciated how transparent and comprehensive he was—it made me feel informed and comfortable throughout the appointment. The whole team was quick, efficient, and genuinely kind without ever making me feel rushed. This was one of the best experiences I’ve had at an optometry office, and I couldn’t recommend them more. I’ll definitely be returning!

Echoing the reviews that Dr. Pena is kind and informative. Also, incredibly patient and consistent since he apparently delivers this level of care with every patient. Furthermore, all office staff are helpful and knowledgeable with everyone in the office aware of your personal insurance costs ahead of time, which is unique and valuable addition. Very low key, comfortable experience.

Such a great experience from start to finish! Super responsive staff for scheduling, easy online forms, and great exam experience - extremely thorough, took time to explain everything and even cleaned/tightened screws on my old glasses!!! I decided to try a new optometrist in Central Square as prior places would run late, etc. and am so happy to have made the switch.

Dr. Pena was very kind and informative at my appointment. I would definitely recommend him as a provider! The location is very convenient and accessible, and the entire staff is very welcoming.

The experiences with other doctors and at other eye care businesses has been embarrassingly painful. One person actually spoke to a co-worker, in front of me and not to me, that I would not be allowed to keep the contacts already in my eyes until I paid a fee that was significantly higher than what was quoted beforehand. Other places quote you a varying rate fee. Who has enough money to allow for what fee is chosen and why? I don't, it's unethical. At East Coast Optometry, I was given a fee that they actually stood by and, most importantly, I was treated with respect and dignity. I highly recommend this practice!!!
