Kind and professional, the optometrist Justin is knowledgeable and clearly cares for his clients, without being too pushy. I appreciate his upfront honesty concerning insurance and costs. The store itself is tidy and the music set a calming ambience. Frankie, the front desk assistant was friendly and helpful, he helped our 7 year old without coddling him too much. I also love that there is a high end collection of glasses in good taste without the flashy brand names, as they personally tend to distract me from my intended purpose of visit. I appreciate the service and look forward to revisiting this location. (4/5 because this was my first time visiting!)

Classic case of sleeping with my contacts in led to a pretty bad corneal abrasion with my eye being painfully swollen shut the next morning. Empire Eye Care was available for an emergency recommend after a friend recommended them, and I'm lucky they were! Dr. Lewis is both professional and thorough in quickly diagnosing and writing a prescription for antibiotic eye drops and gave me a list of other ways to improve recovery. I could see and get back to work without an eye patch less than a week later! I also got an eye exam in the follow up appointment to check my vision along with my retina. Price was great, and they accept a lot of different insurances, including Medicaid. Which is cool. They have a lot of available glasses and contacts to choose from, but I didn't feel that awkward sales pressure I normally get after a vision exam...which made it much more comfortable to browse their wares.

Inhale deeply..... ahhhhh that is the feeling you get the moment you step foot into Empire Eye Care. This place is a breath of fresh air being pumped into the lungs of Harlem. I was immediately impressed with the smart design and the simple yet stylish layout of the store. It feels open and inviting . The staff is great ,they are friendly , engaging and sincerely helpful. They offer a great selection of frames as well as optometrist services. After a couple visits I decided to come back for service and it was 5 star service from the 1st visit seeking info up until most recent visit, which was to get an unused frames fitting with clear specs. Can you say perfect. The price , the finished work and the timetable for when the work would be completed. All as stated . I highly recommend them . The are new in the area but they are putting the "customer" in customer service. Ground floor airy location fits great into the landscape. I walk by there 3,4 times a week and would always wonder what type of business would fit nicely to match the building and Empire Eye Care is a winner!!!
