I honestly don’t know how this place has such high ratings. First, the technician who performed my eye exam was not professional. I’ve been wearing contact lenses for 7–8 years, so I’m very familiar with how they should fit and feel. The prescription she gave me didn’t seem right, but instead of checking it again, she insisted that the problem was my insertion technique and claimed my contact lenses weren’t sitting properly on my eyes. After wearing contacts for so many years without any issues, I found that explanation very difficult to believe. Second, the front desk staff charged me a different price than what we had originally discussed. When I questioned it, they insisted they had already explained the higher price, which they absolutely had not. That was very frustrating and felt misleading. I went in for what should have been a simple eye exam, yet I spent almost two hours there. In the end, I paid $280 only to walk away with a pair of contact lenses that made my vision worse than before. The staff were friendly and polite, and I appreciate that. However, friendliness cannot make up for poor technical accuracy and unclear pricing. If I could give zero stars for the quality of the exam and the billing experience, I would. In fact, I’d give negative ten stars. I honestly think I would have received a better exam at a less expensive clinic.
