The staff of Louisiana Eye and Laser Center Leesville is amazing! I called to schedule an appointment and Rhonda, the representative who schedules appointments for military and Veterans went above and beyond to answer my questions regarding insurance. Her kindness was palpable in how she genuinely was concerned about my questions and needs. Her kind words concerning those who have served and are serving our country spoke to my heart. Rhonda is a true asset to Louisiana Eye and Laser Center. God bless her and the whole team! If the front staff is this excellent, I’m sure the rest of the staff follows suit. Looking forward to my future appointment. Shout out to all military and Veterans in our community, I highly recommend them!

I have been going to this place for years and the beginning of my visit for my annual eye exam was going along really well. Up until Dr. Temple, a female eye doctor came in and started with a very terrible attitude, all resulting in statements that I did not go in for my annual physical the previous year She then started to talk down to me if I was going somewhere else and cheating on them I thought that was kind of amusing until I realized she was serious My insurance plan pays for a set of eyeglasses every year. She told me that I need to come back in a month and that I need to come see them every year for 2 to 3 times. She stated she was not going to write my Prescription for my eyeglasses even though I have 2020 vision and the eyeglasses are just glass Considering the place charges close to $400 for these eyeglasses and my insurance pays it full price, Her decision and attitude costs the company money by not providing me with my yearly eyeglasses paid in full by my insurance . I’ve had no problem with this company before and have high praise for everyone else that I’ve associated with but this Dr. Temple has an attitude and makes decisions that cost this company money I’ve never been told I need to come two or three times a year. After reviewing my exam results she said that my existing diabetic condition did not damage my eyes and that everything looked good and then decided that I needed to come back for her to write me, my Prescription for my 2020 clear eyeglasses I don’t understand what’s going on with this female doctor It’s actually kind of silly for her to make that decision Dr. Norton and other doctors in this business have been completely professional performing Glaucoma surgery that was done excellent I no longer want Dr. Temple to ever preside over my eyes exams and I will ask who the doctor is on call before my next appointment As of this time, I still do not have my eyeglasses or the Prescription that my insurance will pay for I have told the story to many people The attitude of this young female eye doctor made decisions that cost the company money and resulted in me not getting my Prescription glasses paid for by my insurance

They were so extremely nice, but I would rather have had them get me in and out and be nice too. We spent all afternoon there for two eye checkups. I started getting text messages at midnight and 3 am to schedule my next appointment. Just not respectful of my time.

I’ve been going to the Louisiana Eye and Laser center for several years. Even though there has been multi doctors sense I’ve been going, I’ve always had a good experience up until my last eye exam. At my last exam which was around two or three months ago. There was another new doctor. She came into the room, introduced herself along with another lady and started to do the eye exam. After doing so, she went over my results and made a statement that was very unprofessional. I was going to file a complaint. She made an analogy that she should have kept to herself. The doctor informed me that I have cataracts in my left eye or eyes but it was small. She stated that it can become problematic in the future. She explained cataracts and how it can cause night blindness later down the road. The analogy was: “it’s as if your mother kept you in a dark basement as a child instead of letting you go outside to play.” She could have came up with a better analogy than that one. It was very rude and very unprofessional. I won’t be going back there if she’s the only doctor/ophthalmologist working there. I’m a going to write a letter/formal complaint.
