Very pleased with the care given by Dr. Shum as well as the staff. Everyone was very accomodating and professional. I really appreciated that after the exam there was a staff member that was with me to answer questions and assist in finding new glasses
Overall I had a great experience with Maine Optometry in Brunswick. The staff were very friendly, professional and clearly explained what was going to happen along the way. I think anyone going here would be pleased with their level of quality and professionalism.
The actual visit with the Technician & Dr were fine , as usual, but the on-time policy is not acceptable. In a world where MOST clients are trying to fit in appointments during the work week, before work, after work, lunch breaks… having a no excuses, 10min late , you lose your appointment, is totally unacceptable. I couldn’t get out of work exactly on-time, then there’s traffic in Brunswick, I walked in 9mins late, nope! Had to reschedule!! That’s bull. Then at my rescheduled appointment, was on time, and waited 18mins past my appointment time,in the waiting, room , for my appointment!!!
I love this optometry office! Last year they stopped taking my insurance so this year I changed insurance so I could go back. They are very professional, kind, and the visit is very efficient though not rushed. I really like Dr. Benton - very friendly and informative. The eye glasses experts are so kind and helpful in finding and ordering me glasses that work with my insurance and budget. Can't wait to receive my new glasses in a couple weeks!
First of all I love the young lady who did the tests with me. She is so cute and personable she made it fun. There are not enough kind words for Doctor Benton either. I actually plan on moving further north at some point but plan on keeping her. It will be worth the trip
