Marineau Eye Care

A really pleasant experience all around. Everyone at this office is friendly and we felt at ease as we navigated our first visit. Dr Marineau is thorough and explained each test for us. Our questions were answered as we had our eye exams and selected new glasses.

Marineau Eye Care in Douglas is by far the best eyecare center in this area. I have been to what were supposed to be the best eyecare centers & certainly the most expensive but have been very unhappy with my glasses for several years. So, on a friend’s recommendation I decided to try Marineau Eye Care & I am so thankful I did. Everyone there is so welcoming & helpful. Emily took her time with my pre-exam tests, and Dr. Marineau was wonderful. She was patient, asked a lot of questions to ensure she was addressing any issues I might have & really took her time with me on my exam and reviewing my tests in order to ensure she got my prescription right. When she completed my exam, she set up a frame with what would be my new prescription & took me out front so that I could compare my new prescription with my current glasses. What a difference! I could see clearly both near, far and intermediate for the first time in years (and I had new prescriptions from my previous provider each year). Then came my time with the Optician, Vikki. I just can’t say enough good things about Vikki. She was so helpful & patient in helping me select frames, and then so meticulous in taking all the measurements to ensure my glasses would be perfect. She found that my left eye is higher than my right eye, which had not been compensated for in my previous glasses. When my glasses came in they were absolutely perfect! Vikki took the time to ensure they fit me perfectly. Normally there is an adjustment period with progressive lenses, but I was so thrilled with my new glasses, that no period of adjustment was required. I can see clearly for the first time in years. Everyone at Marineau Eye Care was such a pleasure to work with & did such a wonderful job. I am so glad I made the change & can highly recommend them to everyone! After years of subpar experiences with 2 other offices in the area, I was absolutely delighted with my first experience with Marineau Eye Care. Doc was great and very thorough and olthe office staff were so personable and helpful.

For years I saw this little door at the end of a strip mall in Douglas. After so many years I decided to walk in because I didn't like my eye exams from the company I have been doing business with for so many years. It was a little awkward but the staff and everyone made me feel comfortable. The place looks amazing inside, I never knew. So, the next day I scheduled an appointment. they had an opening at 3:30pm because somebody cancelled. I opted for the full examination because I am having trouble with my eyes and I do believe it's from too much work on computer. Anyways. Olivia was my Optometrist and I want to say She is the best. She did an in depth eye exam like would get from my uncle (who is a retired Eye Surgeon) 30 + Years ago. I rate this business 5 Stars. I would give 10 if possible. Olivia said I have developed cataracts but my eyes look healthy other than that. I don't have insurance and they didn't treat me any different. The staff in the optical department are absolutely amazing! They really know their eyeglasses for sure! I highly recommend them!
