AWFUL experience today! Will never go back nor will I ever recommend them to anyone! 1st off it Rubbed me very wrong that the doctor asked me where I worked, I said nowhere cause it ain’t his business, then that’s literally all he kept mentioning the rest of the 4 minutes I was with him. If you must know, doctor, I don’t know what your name is because you never introduced yourself, I do work and I make pretty decent money. I do not work a traditional 9-5 but I make more doing gig work than I did at a factory. My dad died a few months ago and it really messed me up, so instead of just giving up like I wanted to and almost did I found a way to make money and keep my mind occupied better. Why are you concerned about my employment status to begin with? You need to be more concerned about my eyes and my vision, which was obvious you weren’t in the slightest. I almost wreck every time I’m in the car at night because I can’t see. 2nd the girl that was supposed to be helping me get glasses, I guess not really sure cause she was NO HELP, didn’t understand my question so she acted like I was the incompetent one. No maam maybe if you would have closed your mouth, because I understood what you were saying, and listened to me you would have known what I was asking. Also while in the parking lot I called my insurance and I do get money towards frames, the question I was TRYING to ask, so I didn’t have to pick those dinky frames she said FROM THE SUNGLASSES TO THE DOOR in her rude voice. I’m not broke girl so don’t treat me like I am, even if I was you treat the janitor with the same respect as the ceo. I can get any pair of frames I want ; ) them 2 are very unprofessional workers, need to learn how to treat people, and overall just have horrible attitudes. also, ole girl just sat on her big lazy behind while the other lady needed help she was running around trying to do everything she was very nice she took the pics of my eyes. Oh and the doctor didn’t tell me not one thing about my eyes. NOTHING. I don’t even know if they are ok or what my vision is, I told them a few times I haven’t had an eye exam in at least 10 years and would have liked to know that information. That was my first and last time being seen there.

I have been told I'm too old for contacts they left me sitting after dilation for hours and then told me oops we lost your file I've encountered rudeness from staff. I only gave them one star because I wanted to let people know how they treat you

Everyone was great when me and my girlfriend came to visit. We had an issue with only 1 person there that was extremely rude at the optical desk. Instead of politely telling my girlfriend that she would be with her in a moment it was “I’m looking things up for someone else I can’t help you” unprofessional. I work in automotive so I see all kinds of things on a daily basis. But if someone came to my business with that attitude I would decline service. When my girlfriend told me she thought she was rude I told her that I heard it and was about to tell here to put the glasses down and we would leave. Even with the customer she was working with, she was rude and unprofessional. My vision is perfect so I am glad that I don’t have to work with that person and if my vision does go bad I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Let me start by saying that the staff started out friendly. The experience was decent, though the fees were somewhat high. The experience began just fine but I had to wait more than four months for my prescription trial to come in. Once they arrived I was told to come in. When I got there to try them they said they had been sent to the other location almost an hour away. I had to call work and be late, but went to pick them up. I waited an hour plus and finally got in. As soon as I did I was told that they did not have the lenses and they were at the other location. When I arrived they finally told me they had misplaced my contacts... So they reordered them which took months again. When I finally received them they were great, I could see well and things were fine. So I attempted to place the order for my contacts which the doctor had told me would be half price due to the inconvenience. They told me however that he wanted to see them on my eyes and would have to order them again and would not let me order contacts with the prescription I paid over $120 for until he saw them on my eyes which I have never heard of before. I never received information that the contact sample had arrived and by the time I checked back the prescription he never released had expired. When I called to try and give them another chance recently and asked if they would honor the half price lenses if I paid for another prescription they tried to say it was my fault and refused saying it had been too long. Never do business here. They are disorganized, they blame the customer for their mistakes, and they do not keep their word. I will never go back, and I suggest that you do not either. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau.

** After I posted this review my 12 year old son received a letter in the mail stating Marion Eye Center and Tyhurst " will no longer be able to provide him with health care services" Seems a lot like discrimination to me. I wouldn’t send my cat here. I took my 12 year old son for an appointment yesterday and every single person in that building needs a class on interacting with humans and patience. This was the worst place I have been dealing with children. No one smiled, no one even attempted to make my son comfortable or speak to him. At the end of our very poor exam Dr. Keith Tyhurst asked me in front of my child if he had any disabilities and commented on the odd shape of his head. They also will not give you the full information on your prescription because they don’t want you buying your glasses somewhere else. So to get that information you have to call another woman which I haven’t done yet but I’m sure will try to give you the run around.
