Don’t come here to get your MRI, unfortunately Aspirus and Marshfield have a monopoly in the Northwoods when it comes to healthcare. Knee MRI @Marshfield, $500 with premium insurance, SmartScan in Wausau is $1-200. Don’t get scammed by these guys.
The care was fine but be warned that if you visit the urgent care they will bill it as an emergency room visit simply because the building is attached. $600 later I regret overlooking the other reviews that mentioned poor billing practices. I suggest driving a little farther for the same care and more transparent billing.
I felt my hearing was a bit off so stopped by thinking I maybe had a wax buildup. The Doctor "looked" in my ears and said there was no wax buildup but that my eustachian tubes were clogged. Gave me a prescription. Took less than 5 minutes. Got billed for $877.20 which included "removal of impacted ear wax by washing" which never happened?
I self scheduled an appointment through my Marshfield clinic app. They had several openings to pick from. One hour before my appointment I received a call letting me know my appointment was being canceled as they are not accepting new patients. She said they had no record of me ever being seen there despite my lab results from my last appointment being in my Marshfield account. She’s did offer to place me on the waiting list to become a new patient but it might be a while as the list is around 6000 people long! Or I could schedule at a different facility.
