Caring, never rushed, explains issues well. My cataract surgeries smooth as silk. Recommended him to a very anxious friend who was extremely happy and relieved she got it done.

I have been coming to Dr. Schmidt with Thyroid Eye Disease for 20 years. He has always worked closely with me to understand my condition and find ways to work with or around it. Recently, a treatment came on the market and he and his office fought, on my behalf, with the insurance company for months and eventually, that insurance company did end up paying over $150,000 for my treatment. He is an excellent doctor with an excellent staff.

Dr. Matthew Schmidt is an amazing doctor! He’s taken great care of our entire family, including my 92 year old mother-in-law. Highly recommended!

My dad has been here before, he says Schmidt is nice. I have been trying to contact him for an eye check, but the Orland park location doesn't have consistent hours. I'm tired of playing this game of calling them everyday for a week just to know when they're open...apparently they don't stay open past 2pm. I guess I'll just stick with an outdated prescription.
