I do not have enough words for how amazing Dr McConkey is and her treatment of dry eyes. In just 3 months I can already see a huge difference. I also adore her staff, Maria and Abby. They truly go the extra mile for their patients and Dr McConkey. If you suffer from dry eyes you MUST make an appointment. You will be so pleased with your results.
I like Dr. McConkey and their staff and my eyes have improved 60% A lot of people are really happy with her. Beware of the high ticket services. The $70 eye rinse did nothing. My biggest regret was sclarel lenses. I spent $3000 out of pocket for them. Dr. McConkey said that some people need more than 5 sets of lenses to get the right fit. Great! Guatentee. READ AND ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT ANYTHING YOU SIGN. I missed in the fine print of the contract that getting a new set, between the trial sets, IS A SMALL TIME FRAME. No one verbally said this to me ever. It would have been nice to get notified "your time frame is almost up for this set of lenses" or even told this exists! She's a great salesman and likes her new toys. She does really care and is very trained. But i think now she has too many clients? The care they once had is no longer there. Beware statements like "you're a great candidate!!" I wish i had more skepticism. Maybe i wouldn't be out 3k.
You may have dry eye and not even realize it. I didn't realize how badly my eyes hurt until Dr. McConkey started treating me, and all of the pain that I was so used to disappeared. I can tell that she genuinely cares about my comfort and the health of my eyes. It's getting harder to find doctors that you don't have to advocate and fight for yourself - she's your biggest advocate and will do everything she can to help you live comfortably. Thank you Dr. McConkey!
As a semi-retired optometist visting the office for my wife's dry eye problem, it was a very pleasant and refreshing experience. Dr. McConkey and her staff provided personal world class, state of the art care that was lacking by larger famous eyecare clinics in Baltimore. Anyone with frustating dry eye issues would be well served by their service.
Dr McConkey always explains the “why” behind a treatment and is extremely knowledgeable about dry eye! She really cares about her patients. If you have dry eye (or think you do) she’s fantastic!!
