Very detailed and thorough, a no nonsense kinda provider that I like. She is quick, but never in too big of a hurry, that she does not have time to answer all of your questions and any concerns you may have. McFarland Clinic is lucky to have her.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Carol at McFarland Clinic since 2019, and I truly can’t say enough good things about her. She is absolutely wonderful—kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She always takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure I feel comfortable and heard during every visit. What really stands out is how much she genuinely cares about her patients. I never feel rushed, and I always leave feeling confident about my care. On top of that, the entire staff at McFarland Clinic is awesome—friendly, professional, and always helpful. They make every visit a positive experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Dr. Carol and McFarland Clinic to anyone looking for exceptional eye care.”
I visited this clinic in February of 2024 while in college because I had recently developed Visual Snow Syndrome, which I did not know what that was at the time of this visit. I had a visit with Doctor Joy Carroll to try to figure what was wrong with my eyes. Attempting to paint the full picture so that she could give a proper diagnosis, I disclosed to her that I have experienced 3 concussions in my life, have encountered 5-6 migraines, and that I drank alcohol at a rate above the recommended weekly limit. Let's call a spade a spade, and acknowledge that the vast majority of college students drink more than this recommended limit. After disclosing this information to her, she immediately shut down and told me it must be the alcohol and that I should see alcohol support via campus resources. Although I acknowledge that alcohol is very damaging to your health, I thought it was malpractice to assume that what I had was caused by my drinking, despite the fact that the vast majority of college students drink in this amount, and that Visual Snow Syndrome occurs in
Dr Hamouche continues to provide me with excellent eye care and I would highly recommend him to others. Both he and his assistant are very polite, efficient, and of special note are generous with sharing as much information as I request.Very professional and trustworthy.
My first visit with Dr. Joy Carroll was very pleasant. She asked lots of questions and explained what tests were being done and went over the results with me. She has a calming voice and demeanor. I look forward to having her as my eye doctor for many years.
