I had a wonderful experience at Media Eyecare. Every member of the staff I interacted with was friendly, funny, and welcoming. Dr. Zhou was the first eye doctor in my entire life that didn’t make me feel rushed during my exam. He took the time to explain the reasoning and the science behind everything. I am very happy with my lenses. I feel like my prescription is right for the first time in over a decade.

Dr Z. was very courteous and accommodating. On the whole, the staff is nice as well (they're just following the practices of the practice). However, they seem to struggle with patient service issues. For example, I booked online only to get a call a few minutes later that I would have to reschedule because they booked someone over the phone for that time (even though I scheduled first in an available slot). There's also the nickel and diming of patients. I used to get my glasses tightened and adjusted (from normal wear) each yearly appointment for free. A nice little touch of customer service. However, now they charge you if you didn't purchase the glasses from them. Additionally, they also ask that you pay extra out of pocket for a photograph of your eye to avoid dilation. While it may save a patient time (and that might be worth $40 to some people), the combination of it all made it seem like they're not really putting patients first.
Dr. Zhou is one of the most wonderful healthcare professionals I've ever been a patient of. He is so kind, intelligent, understanding, and deeply cares about finding solutions for your eye concerns. I highly highly recommend!
Staff is friendly, the place is clean and modern, it’s right in downtown Media. Things I personally wasn’t a fan of: they did some preliminary virtual reality type of tests before I saw the optometrist. My results were never discussed by anyone… so what’s the point? The contacts I ordered through this office were not great compared to the “night and day” ones I had been using prior. This was probably the worst part of the experience for me. I also wasn’t a fan of the frames selection available in their store when I went. Everyone was friendly enough, so I didn’t want to give them low stars, but I do not plan to return here in the future. I also learned that I am better off ordering my contacts and glasses online with a prescription.
Awesome experience with Dr. Z. He really took his time explaining things to me throughout the appointment. Every staff member has been extremely nice and friendly. I’ll continue recommending this practice to anyone looking!
