Dr. Melinda Hakim is the best ophthalmologist in California and the most thorough and kind doctor I have ever met. High recommend.

Dr. Hakim has been my ophthalmologist for 25+ years. She has many well-earned accolades and plaques on her walls to attest to her status as one of L.A.’s best doctors, and as her patient, I enthusiastically add my voice and endorsement to those claims. Her patients’ vision is of utmost importance, her skills are exemplary and she gives exceptional care. The Friday before Thanksgiving, I was having difficulty seeing out of one eye but had travel plans, intending to leave the following Monday. I called Dr. Hakim’s office and received an immediate return call from her. She was out of the office that day but asked me to meet her on the following day (Saturday, NOT a regular office day) to determine whether the issue I was having was one that was serious, requiring immediate intervention, or could wait until I returned from my trip (as turned out to be the case). She truly went the extra mile for me and I am so grateful to her for her care and concern. I was able to go have Thanksgiving with my daughter with peace of mind and Dr. Hakim was at the top of my gratitude list that holiday. When I returned from my trip, I visited Dr. Hakim again and she took care of the issue causing my clouded vision with a laser treatment, restoring it to 20/20. Google doesn’t have enough stars for this outstanding physician. I recommend her highly.

I went to see Dr Hakim at the recommendation of a friend 15 years ago. I’d had migraine headaches since age 7 and never was able to find a resolution. He did an initial consult and confirmed my TMJ circumstances. He laid out a plan and we followed it. It was fairly painless, took some time, but was EFFECTIVE. My migraine headaches are gone and have been these last 15 years. Thanks to Dr Hakim and his amazing, efficient and caring staff. Anyone who had any similar circumstance, I would encourage to go at least see Dr Hakim. I cannot thank him enough. This saved me from a life of pain, or potentially pain medication addiction. Thank you again and again!

Dr. Hakim is the only doctor I'll trust with my eyes. She's meticulous, caring, and exceptionally skilled at her craft. She doesn't waste a single moment when she's working with patients, and makes me feel at ease every time I have an appointment. I'm so lucky to have her as my eye doc.
