Dr. Melody paid attention to my family history of glaucoma. She explained in detail about my eye’s pressure, myopia, and how to take care of them. She spent more than 30 minutes checking my eyes and explaining eyes condition. I felt happy and satisfied with my visit. The staff were very patient with me and helping me choose the good eyeglasses. Money well spent. Will come back.

Poor customer service! Last year we came and they said that if we pay cash then they will give some discount. This time we came and saw the young lady with mask; she says no for everything. Overcharged! We asked for any discount if we are paying cash, she said Nooooo. This will be our last visit here because of poor and careless customer service by this masked lady. She seems not care about patients, probably family member. She needs to take customer service 101 class. Well, congratulations you just lost 5 patients. I DON’T RECOMMEND this place at all. I rather go somewhere they are friendly and value my service.

2 yrs ago I found out this office by chance and since then my son and I have become pts here. I like Dr. Melody very much. She's friendly, approachable, and patient. Her staff are nice too especially Cassandra, the front desk girl, who is very very willling to spend so much time to help me pick out glasses and give me good advice. I don't know about other reviews saying they are money hungry and mistreating ptas but to me, they are decent. So five stars for their service and professionalism.

So first off I am a regular customer, I wanted to order my contacts here since I was in the area. I had gotten my eye exam done somewhere else in Westminister around 5 months ago so my prescription is still up to date. I come in and this young lady was helping me, as I was talking to her and asking her questions about the pricing, her phone rings, she cuts me off and answers it. She does not even acknowlege that I am just looking at her and waiting for her to get off that phone helping someone else when she should be helping the person actually there in front of her. So I got tired of the rudeness, got up and tried being assisted by another lady which ended up the same way, completely ignored...At this point all i wanted to do was just put in my order for my contacts and get the hell out. The young girl was done with her conversation, she decided to try to help me out again, I told her I would like to order regular contacts, which she priced me for $50 per box, 6 pairs each. Usually it is $35 but because I have astigmatism it cost more. I said thats fine, I gave her my precription and I asked if I could get free trials for temporary use until my order comes in and she wanted to go confirm that with the doctor. She comes back minutes later telling me the doctor does not want to sell me the contacts. I think to myself, thats weird. I have done this many times at other places and this is a first.. I ask her, "so then what does that mean?" She tells me that the doctor does not want to be liable for giving me the wrong prescription so therefore if I wanted contacts I would have to get another eye exam for $70. I tell her that my prescription is legit, it is still up to date, it has only been 5 months since my last exam.. she then says " well the doctor doesnt want to lose her license so..." I said once again, " but this is my prescription? I dont get it. " she did not even bother giving me my prescription paper back while telling she could not sell it to me, I had to ask for it and I just walked out. Not only did they waste my time, they lied, giving so many BS excuses to why I could not order my contacts there. This place was my families go to place for many years, I never had a problem. I found out that they overprice everything and all they wanted from me was to get an eye exam at their place.... which I found really annoying because mine was still new, it was just done elsewhere and they did not want to accept it. Do not go here, their service is not considerate nor welcoming. Just a big waste of your time, energy, and money.

Buyers beware. Do yourself a huge favor: Do not go there. I had the bad fortune to get an eye exam and bought frames there, just because their store is located at such a high traffic area and convenient for visitors to Little Saigon. That's about the only good thing. The exam is cursory. Melody spent as little time with you as possible so you can spend more time shopping for frames, pushed by a fast-talking saleswoman, Tuyet. Worse, the frames took unusually long (2 weeks) compared to other places I've been to. When I came to pick up, there's no adjustment as I had experienced with other places. They did not sit you down and make sure the frame angle were seated properly so the lenses can correctly capture your field of vision. The frames are bent , crooked, too wide, but too bad, I had to adjust all that by myself. I did call to request an appointment for proper fitting by their office but they never took the call or returned my call and invited me to come back so they would fix it for me. Worse, I found out that my plan (VSP) allocated $150 for the frames but Tuyet told me they only get $125. I guess they pocketed the $25 difference.
