I am not the easiest patient to refract. My vision history is complicated (anisometropia, dry eye syndrome, inflammatory history), and after years of struggling with glasses I could not tolerate, I arrived with a fair amount of apprehension. In fact, I was initially opposed to attempting a refraction because of my prior experiences. That changed because of Hunter, the optometric technician who worked with me. He spent a tremendous amount of time taking my history, performing my preliminary testing, answering questions, and explaining each step of the process. His patience, professionalism, and knowledge earned my trust. More importantly, he had the ability to put me completely at ease. Because of Hunter’s reassurance, I agreed to proceed with the refraction, and I am glad I did. The process went smoothly, and I had none of the adverse reactions I had anticipated. Dr. Hutton was equally impressive: personable, thorough, and focused on finding a solution to my complicated vision issues. Like Hunter, he inspired confidence. I never once felt rushed in this clinic. In total, I interacted with four different professionals during my visit, and every single person was gracious, patient, and went above and beyond. I walked in apprehensive and wanting to get the appointment over, and walked out feeling relaxed and relieved. My needs were more than met, and I feel very comfortable making this clinic my permanent home base for eye care.Thank you Mid-Florida!

I really enjoy going to Mid Florida Eye. Everyone there is so helpful and cheerful. Becky did an excellent and thorough exam of my eyes solving a vision issue I had. Dr. Panzo carried a very positive outlook and that was nice; it made me feel as though I had come to the right place. We have been going to this practice for over 20 years now. I would highly recommend them for any eye problems, surgeries, or eye glasses.
Having so many issues calling and connecting. Cannot make an appointment as the phone system puts me on hold for HOURS. Phone died. Next, need percription refill..same. my Pharmacy can't get thru. Had to drive to office. Everyone behind desk said it's AI and corporate and nothing they can do. Well, I have glocoma and optical hypertension....so working to prevent me from losing more eyesight and NOT go bli. Not good. Will look for some other place to care for me. And will let BCBS know that I am at risk because there is no way to communicate with this company.
I had my cataract removed in my left eye at Mid Florida Eye. The staff were all friendly and professional. They get you in and out fairly quick. I spent 45 -60 minutes in pre op. The actual surgery was 20 -30 minutes and post op was about 20 minutes. The whole procedure lasted lass than 2hours. The results were good. The right eye will be done in 3 weeks. I can hardly wait.
Not a good experience! First, they do not take calls in their office. They use a concierge calling service, and it's very difficult to get through. Second, they only want to talk with you to collect payment at the end of your appointment. Third, they require you to do your own check in on a kiosk. They do not want to talk to you or greet you when you come in for your appointment. They just loudly direct you to the kiosk. This is a bad first impression and a difficult task for the elderly. Last, I asked three times...not once, not twice, but three times about what I would be charged for my visit. I was assured one price. I told them I did not want to be surprised when I check out to pay. With all of that, I was indeed surprised with an additional charge. I had to talk to three different levels of personnel in order to finally reverse the additional charge. I was there for just over two hours and completely "worked up" by the time I left their office. I got my perscriptions for glasses and contacts from them and left. I could have had my perscriptions filled there, but I will not. I do not recommend this business, and I will not be returning.
