My appointment was at 2:10 pm on a Monday afternoon at Mid Florida Eye in the Mount Dora office. I was taken back 40 minutes late for my appointment and saw a tech. I let her know that I had been waiting 40 minutes for my appointment and she told me not to worry I was on schedule to see the doctor at the correct time. After a quick eye chart test I was put in a full waiting room with almost every chair filled. About 45 minutes later I was taken in a room to do another test on my eyes. The gentleman doing the test asked how I was doing today. I let him know I was not happy with the wait. He tried to put me in a room after completing the test to see the doctor right away but all rooms were full. So once again I was put back in the waiting room to wait for the doctor because they didn't have a room available. Well I waited again for at least 30 minutes to see the doctor. She went over my test with me and told me everything was fine. She did apologize for my wait after I commented on how long I had waited. She suggested I make my appointment on Thursday or Fridays as those were not as crazy as Mondays. I'm sorry but this was unacceptable. They should have looked at the schedule and let the patients know how backed up they were and offer to reschedule people if they could not wait two hours for their appointment. I would have gladly rescheduled if I would have known. I worked at a busy dermatology office for over 30 years and our physicians would do that for their patients. They expected their patients to be on time and they would always let the patients know if they were running late and offer them the option to reschedule if they could not wait. It was rare for them to run behind but things happen. They were always considerate of the patient's appointment time. When I checked out at the front desk I paid my copay but I did not make a follow up appointment. I know things get busy but not telling the patients they are extremely backed up and offering them the option to reschedule if they are not okay with waiting two hours is not good business!!! I doubt if I will ever go back.

I found everyone kind....I liked how they all introduced themselves...I felt very comfortable... thank you! I also thank them for allowing my little dog due to certain circumstance
Cannot review the doctor, as I don't see him until July 15th. The technical staff that I just met with were all friendly and knowledgeable. I will receive their results on the fifteenth. I didn't have to wait very long to start seeing them, nor did I have much time between each test, which I appreciated! The check out was very speedy.
Very professional and smooth operation. Very impressed with techs and the doctor was awesome as well. What I thought was a downside turned out to be a blessing. Their optical department didn't take my Medicare plan so I decided to go online and actually was able to get BOGO on my glasses and only paid for a few extras on both glasses got a pair of Oakley anf a pair of Ray ban frames....so I was definetly WINNING from this whole experience.
Very friendly , efficient process from check-in in via automated terminals to the flow for eye exams and final review with the doctor. Pages of additional paperwork at check-in were a disappointment since I'd already done online check-in on the internet. All staff were very friendly and professional. Final review by the doctor was also professional and my prior eye history as discerned by the doctor reassured me of his expertise. Very pleased with the whole experience.
