I have been a patient and customer of this office for many years. I have no complaints about the optometrist or the appointment itself; my concern is with the contact lens ordering and cancellation process. When I called to order Air Optix Colors contact lenses, I was quoted $159 for two boxes of six lenses. I decided to order four boxes to cover a full year, and the total came to $436. Afterward, I found the exact same lenses online for about $349, even before applying my $120 VSP allowance. I immediately asked the office not to place the order because I could find them at a significantly lower price elsewhere. However, since I had already provided my card information, I was told that the order had already been placed and could not be canceled. I was also told that they could not refund the money to my card and could only offer store credit. I visited the office the next day and politely asked for help. I was advised to apply for a rebate through Alcon. However, when I tried, I found that there was no rebate available for Air Optix Colors. I understand that offices have policies, but I was disappointed that an order could not be canceled or refunded so soon after it was placed, especially given the substantial price difference. As a long-time patient and customer, I expected more understanding, flexibility, and transparency.
