Love the Dr & staff but the frames they get are the worst quality I've ever seen I do not go here. But my son has for the past 2 years and every pair of frames he has bought break within 24 hours to a week. He literally got these YESTERDAY!!!! They wont repair or replace them. Sending him to Insights for better quality frames and they always repair/replace them anytime between exams.
I tried to get in to my former optometrist but they didn't answer the phone. Dr. MAUDLIN saw me within an hour when I called about unusual eye pain. Very thorough exam, excellent care, averted a potentially serious complication. I highly recommend this practice.
I will say right off be prepared to stay awhile during your appointment. There is only 1 optometrist in this office doing the best he can to see each patient that has been booked during the day. He is very thorough in his exams and if there are issues with your eyes, he will find them. The staff with the exclusion of a gentleman were very pleasant to work with. He was a bit snappy when I picked up my glasses and I asked for a cleaning cloth as this was my first new pair in over a decade.
I love Dr. Maudlin! He’s very patient, knowledgeable, and professional. I went to him years ago in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. I tried several optometrists after Dr. Maudlin relocated his practice to Indiana. No one else even came close to him! Today I drove two hours each direction to have my exam and receive a new prescription from Dr. Maudlin. It was totally worth it! I have total faith in his analysis of my eye health and my new prescription. I highly recommend him.
I would give this a zero if possible. Words can't describe how disappointing it is when someone you love isn't treated properly by any health care provider. This was my husband's and my eye doctor until i took my 93 year old Daddy to them and was astounded by how indifferent he was treated. He hadn't been to an eye doctor since Dr Wilhite passed away, and it had been years. His eyes need attention and he desperately needed new glasses. He's got a piece of string holding his old ones together. I would have thought that they would have done anything in their power to help him and make him new glasses. They didn't make them right and didn't even try to rectify the situation. I am deeply disheartened by the way he was treated and will never go to them again. Needless to say it it very upsetting. And my Dad is still wearing his tied together with strings old glasses. Also, my husband was treated with impatience and rudeness by Spencer Maudlin. He treated me very sweetly, so i was very shocked to discover how he treated the men in my family. KINDNESS IS KEY PEOPLE
