I came in and told them I only need a prescription for glasses. Instead of providing standard care, the staff ran me through a pipeline of unauthorized upgrades. They directed me to sit at multiple machines, telling me to "just put your chin here," completely hiding the fact that "retinal imaging" and a "visual field test" were optional, out-of-pocket procedures. They tricked me into a $70 surprise bill without a single word of disclosure or obtaining my consent. This is a highly deceptive and dishonest business practice. It got even worse when I tried to look at frames. There were NO price tags anywhere. The clerk just aggressively typed on his computer, keeping the screen away from me, and arbitrarily blurted out that my total would be $340 after insurance. No breakdown, no itemization, just pure black-box pricing. Honestly, you don’t need to run a business here—you might as well just grab the money straight out of others' wallet like a robber. Unfair, non-transparent, and predatory pricing from start to finish. If you care about your hard-earned money, STAY FAR AWAY from this place.

Music City Optical is great! I really like that they stay current with technology making the eye exam as pleasant and thorough as possible. I’m very light sensitive and have always loathed having my eyes dilated. Having other options, even if not covered by insurance, is a game changer for me. Dr. James is so kind and caring. Her staff is amazing as well. I’ve been a patient for over 5 years and will continue to be.
WOW. Just....wow. This office is absolutely stunning and has such a great selection of frames. From the moment I came in for my exam, I felt welcomed and accommodated by the front office staff (nice young men Dylan and Anthony). Santi was just so sweet when he took me back for pre-testing, and Dr. James was warm and friendly. She explained the exam thoroughly and thoughtfully, and I did not feel rushed AT ALL. It was so nice to have such a caring eye doctor give such a thorough exam. When it was time to select frames, Dylan and Anthony were engaging and made a memorable buying experience! I will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Music City Optical!
Timely, thorough, and staffed by good people. The exam was detailed and nobody rushed me. Free parking in the back too, which is no small thing in this town. Easy recommendation.
I love working with Dr. Connie. She has a great bedside manner, and a great team at the office, with great designer glasses to choose from. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an optometrist in town!
