Staff is very courteous, pleasant to work with. Waiting room is bright and cheery and very kid friendly with toys and soft play area. They have a great email reminder system. Dr. is great with kids! Offices are spacious but cozy. Totally geared towards making kids comfortable. Love it here!

My kid was recently referred to this Dr for an eye. I read the reviews and was honestly nervous about taking my kid. I even thought about cancelling the appointment. I arrived at the office and a wonderful lady greeted me, took some info & waited few minutes to see the Dr. She gives you the vibes of your Nana who will make sure that you eat when you visit her. The Dr was great as well and was friendly with my kid during the whole process. I definitely recommend this place.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. I took my daughter here for about a year to a year & a half. No progress with my daughters condition was ever made in that time. Every appointment was the same update & I was advised by Dr. Refice to keep doing the same things with patching etc. but never any new results or any new information to offer me when we’d come in for appointments which I get that could just be how things are but I found it kind of concerning especially since changing doctors my daughter has made more progress in 6 months than she ever did with Dr. Refice. Appointments were always rushed and I felt Dr. Refice was super impatient at times with my child, which is sad to see with someone who works with kids. She cancelled appointments on me twice for various reasons then blamed me one visit for “missing appointments” & told me I need to make sure I’m showing up to them when she was the one that cancelled them. Uh.. ok? Which leads me to believe she doesn’t seem like she knows what’s going on with her practice or her patients. I feel horrible I wasted precious time taking my child to a doctor who doesn’t seem to really care about the work she is there to do.. if you care about your kids and want their eye conditions addressed and corrected I’d look for a different doctor, one with patience & one that actually wants to be there. The only positive part of visiting was the receptionist, she was always nice & inviting.

Nanny was so kind with my foster son, she handled his care with the upmost love and diligence, she was thorough and is helping him get the care that is needed. The receptionist was very kind and prompt in getting us in urgently. Even with the extra work of dealing with paperwork for a Foster child Nannys Eye Care for kids was by far my best experience at a pediatric ophthalmologist appt. Very happy and impressed with my care! Worth the over 2 hr drive to be provided with Excellent Care!

Dr. Refice was my child’s eye doctor for almost 3 years. She can come off as cold and talking down to you. But, the icing on the cake was recently when she refused to see my daughter when she didn’t feel like running our insurance. Beware if you do not have “brand name” insurance, she may not want to run it. She called to cancel our appointment while we were already sitting in the parking lot. I drove 45 minutes both ways for nothing. Very unprofessional and rude eye doctor. You are better off going to Northeastern Eye for your child!
