The folks working the front eye glasses area here are GEMS. I am always able to take my time and try on any glasses I like, which is wonderful for a daily glasses wearer. They also talk me through all my lens options based on my insurance (including what’s best for when I need contact lenses). Once the glasses were ready, they made sure they fit to my liking before I left. I highly recommend this business for the kind customer service, variety of frames, the professional knowledge of pricing options with insurance, and ability to fit glasses.

I had an eye exam here and looked for frames. The optometrist was knowledgeable and helped me find the correct prescription for my glasses and contacts. The woman at the front desk was very kind and helped break down how to best utilize my insurance for glasses or contacts. I also appreciated the glasses frames team helping me understand my options on many different frames. I’ll be back for my next eye exam!

I had a great experience with the dr! The glasses on the other hand has been horrible. My glasses didn’t arrive in the time frame that was given and I needed the glasses. I had to buy a pair out of pocket and now the manager at hershberger Roanoke which is supposedly the corp office is refusing to refund me for the glasses. She’s literally trying to force me to keep glasses that I don’t want. I even offered to take a credit and did Every thing to work with them and didn’t even mind if I had to pay a cancellation fee. The manager is not willing to work with me and is giving me a very hard time. Very horrible service. The reason the glasses were late is because They forgot to order them. The manager is now telling me that the company paid for my glasses not me and my insurance and it can’t be refunded. I want all my money back to me and my insurance. I will even take them to court and it’s not about the money it’s just because the reason for her giving me a hard time seems to be racially motivated bc I have done nothing wrong but asked for a refund. I will put this review on every social media platform that I have and every person that I know I’m going to share this experience with them hopefully nobody will have to experience this horrible behavior

My glasses broke and no other store would help me without paying about 800 on a new eye exam, lens and frames since I had no insurance. this store set me up with a good deal and helped me a lot without even asking for insurance. Much appreciated I will always come back to them. Only took them a hr and same day pick up especially on a Saturday and is affordable. I'm sure I'm due for another eye exam it's been about 8-10 years but that be another day. I CAN SEE 😅 thank you. You're much appreciated!

I am pleased to rate National Optical as an excellent place to obtain one's glasses. My wife and I have both shopped there. We both wear progressive lenses which are among the most difficult to fit. I've tried other eye-wear firms and they just can't get it right and one's vision is not corrected. At National Optical they obviously take pride in accuracy. When they have had our prescription lenses manufactured and fitted them to our frames the vision correction has been accurate immediately. I think their prices are reasonable for the higher quality product and service one receives. We've also found the staff to be most pleasant and helpful. One way to judge the integrity of a business is how long the employees have worked there. At the Hershberger office, where we shop, they've had the same staff for years.
